YAY! I finally got a chance to review this baby! I loved the first chapter, but I completely adore this one. Love Bobby literally catching Dean and taking the kid's weight and just helping him up the stairs to bed. Love the image of Dean being all pale, sweating, on the verge of passing out, breathing hard and fast, and just surrendering himself completely to Bobby. There's very few people in the world who Dean'd trust enough to completely let down his guard and armor enough like this and Bobby's on his short list.

Adore Bobby recognizing that Dean trusted him enough to practically crawl to his house half dead and going through the emotional wringer far harder than anyone could possibly imagine. I can totally believe Sam's departure doing this to Dean. Dean's whole identity is wrapped up in Sam so when Sam leaves... it's like cutting off his right arm or something. But Bobby is so sweet to him and I love Bobby just recognizing that and reassuring Dean and telling the boy to sleep and just giving him a safe place to crash and burn.

The hurt component of this chapter is amazing. I love Dean's injuries, how Dean just quietly says "who do you think?" When Bobby asked who stitched up his wounds. OH GOD... I don't even wanna think how much that hurt... especially since Sam'd have been the one who stitched Dean up if he was around... and love Bobby wanting to explode at Dean but knowing it's not the kid's fault and just holding it in check, giving Dean painkillers and just doing what needs to be done.

I'm anti-John so I love Bobby thinking he should fill John with Buckshot (and awesome shout-out to Devil's Trap! I'm convinced Bobby's threat had everything to do with something John did or didn't do for/to Dean and Sam). And Bobby just being a perfect DAD to Dean.

And I definitely think there needs to be at least a third chapter to conclude it. *grins wickedly* I don't see this fic needing more than three chapters, but I don't think it ends here. It's definitely a better ending than Chapter 1 but I think there needs to be another chapter where Dean wakes up and Bobby helps Dean to heal his wounded heart a little. This is just SAD and I want more... LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC HERE!

You need to continue this story; let us see Dean disentigrate until he manages to find something that keeps him going, no matter how small. I'd like to see just how torn up Dean gets before John notices-or am I being mean? ;) Put them through hell, but be sure to rescue them in the end. Always makes for a good story.

I sure hope there's more to come! I love me some tender Bobby!
