Oh my god ! That was so awesome !

It was very moving. And very well written. It was a pleasant surprise to not see the two at each other's throats as they are so normally written (not that there's anything wrong with it). Well done :)

Awww, this is so sad and sweet! I loved reading this so much. I adore that you included Malik's wife in this fic, and the dysfunctional love triangle between Malik, his wife, and her unknown rival for Malik's affections, Altair. Malik's wife is pretty unreasonable though - she chews him out for his nonexistent affair (although he did go and do it with Altair AFTER that XD), and when he gets angry at her for doubting his fidelity, she pulls the "I'M PREGNANT SO DON'T ARGUE WITH ME" card. LOL No wonder he prefers quiet, shy Altair.

Also, I absolutely adored this part: "Malik touches all his scars and falls in love with every single one." So sweet! Poor Malik. He likes 'em flawed and scarred, and wants Altair instead... but knows he needs a woman to bear his children.

As an aside, the only very small thing I noticed was that I think it might have been more meaningful if Altair's suicide attempt either involved drowning himself (and Malik saving him) or attempting to do the Leap of Faith with no haystack underneath. But other than that, I think this fic is so freaking amazing and perfect 3.

That, that was, gorgeous.

People write stories, label them with simple angst or drama or romance genres, but then, there are people who do write angst, who do write drama, who do write romance. They don't need the categories to name their work, they just write what those stories are. Your work was of the latter.

Reading this was a pure and completely great pleasure. Decently-sized pieces, especially well written ones, are hard to find. Either they've been distributed over a long installation, or the very short ones are just that. Deciding between the chance to view a slowing winding, growing, plant or the chance to see a one night bloomed flower is difficult.

This piece though, it wasn't a one glimpse of something amazing, or a watching the progress of a long-termed art, it was it's own, right, size.

God, the tone was haunting. The way the story flowed and was narrated reflected a bleeding that most people don't often see publicly in real life. The illusions especially, varied in a way that captured the human heart well. There were times they were lucid, sharp, and calloused; and then there were times they were almost blurry, vague, incoherent.

Works liked these are always a favorite. You've given readers another look into a character from a different perspective; given them the chance to really understand when their eyes burn with tears, or their throat closes up, or their hands shake, or why they hold a sob, it's due to gaining another picture of what the human heart is. That, despite fanfiction being about fictional people, those same people can feel, see, experience similar things as their real counterparts. Fanfiction can show that they can break, they can cry; Fanfiction shows what it's like, how fragile it is, how sad it is, to be human. Your work just reminds readers how.

You contrasted Altair and Malik's wife well. You presented both, along with Malik, that all of them were victims of life. Another casualty. The vague descriptions of explicit material was given justice, especially when the simple little things that paint the event highlighted the importance of the small details that marked their interactions.

Then, the ending left this gritty aftertaste that was marred with some bittersweet remains. It wasn't exactly happy, nor was it completely sad. Instead, the ending was how it should be.

Thus, thank you. You've truly bled onto these words, and we've bled back in reading them. This was just lovely. Kudos.

You know, it didn't make me cry, but it surely left my heart uneasy and uncomfortable... even though the ending was sure "happy". The fact that Altair's life was sent to rot as he lost everything to his dismissal from the Order is something that i still can't digest completely; its destructive. I liked that Malik's wife wasn't a sort of antagonist to the story, but just another victim to the casualties of love. Yet i can't seem to digest Altair's situation and all the kinds of misfortunes both he and Malik went through... I'm not saying i didn't like it. I loved it ! it is so mature, not just void of content sex. And when you wanted to express sorrow or grief, you satisfactorily expressed it (something scarce in writers minds nowadays).

I have issues with liking non canon stories (even though i love Altair pairings)... i just have the need to know that things will turn the way they would in the original series' plot. Anyway, your writing is impeccable and your style gratifying. You had the reader at the mercy of your words. I can't say much more about it because it's hard to describe (though I've put an effort in doing so). Its different and good. Heartbreaking.

Now, more personally, the thing that got me the most is that you mentioned "Dearly Beloved"... wow, that song gets deeply into me (I'm a big BIG KH fan)... it acts almost as a trigger that makes me relive every sad moment in my life (that sounds so dumb and dull, but its true). Whenever i remember the tune, i become very vulnerable to this kind of emotional stuff... so it added to the story's sad theme.

I would make other appreciations such as Malik's relationship with his wife, his issues with her perfection, the contrast between her and Altair, and so on; but that's something that many people have already done in your reviews, so i'll leave it untouched. Congrats and continue writing.

This is the best thing ever. I'm going to cry. The plot was amazing, I like how you played with words and the being of perfection and imperfection. The relation ship with his wife is so well written it stunned me. It isn't 'I just do not like her', there is a reason. It is so human, it is so real. Perhaps next time you could use more commas, dots and all that stuff? But it's just an opinion. I love it. I truly do.

Dear Lord... This was beautiful. I recently fell into an Assassins Creed hype and I have had a difficult time finding truly good AC fanfics. I have to say that this is the best one that I have found so far. Absolutely enthralling. I came so close to tears throughout the course of the piece. I don't cry easily either. You have a wonderful writing style and your work was very well done. I commend you.

Yes it's a drama, but it felt like it could have happened. Which makes it all so much better!

I didn't cry until the whole Alt going to hang himself thing. That... really shocked me.

It's very hard to read when Victim by Avenge Sevenfold is playing, it fit in well with this story.
