afrozenheart412 chapter 4 . 6/16/2010
As always you bring a smile and tears to my eyes with the love that just flows between Danny and Lindsay in here. I was so surprised to see that you updated this again! Awesome! Adam is a dear friend, with all of the teasing, he knows how much Danny and Lindsay appreciate him for doing this. I LOVED THE HUG! Rosie, she is great! I adore this character for laying it all out for them to decide and explaining what she is going to do and how she is there to help. This is one nurse that cares.

And for having Lucy stay with them, I didn't know that. I thought they all went to the nursery. I know this is redundant but...they really love Lucy and I hope that she will know it for the rest of their lives. Thank you for this. *gentle nose poke* If it is not too much trouble can we get an update on Asked and Answered? Only if you feel like it.

You didn't bog us down with the knowledge that you shared with us. Some of us don't know these facts and it was welcome! I did know about the not eating, 32 years later and I'm still hearing about the Filet Mignon that I prevented her from eating. :(

I do have to ask...was 415, the room that Lindsay is in, a coincidence or did you pick that after the episode DOA For A Day?

"Ya ready to do this?" he asked her playfully.

She rested her hand over his against where their little girl prepared for her entrance into the world and with a seriousness in her tone she answered, "Now I am."

Danny smiled at her, as he felt the connection between them strengthen.

"I'm sorry this didn't go as smoothly as we'd planned," he offered quietly, using his had to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear.

She reached up and wrapped her fingers around his wrist, her smile widening as she asked ruefully, "When does anything we plan go smoothly?"

He chuckled in response and teased, "Yeah, I guess our little girl was blessed with her mother's sense of timin'."

"Like mother, like daughter," Lindsay said proudly."

"Danny raised an eyebrow at her and teased, "Ya need a biology lesson Montana?"

Lindsay laughed, and in a moment of pure impulse, threw her arms around Danny and held him as close as her widened body would allow. "Keep me laughing today, ok?" she pleaded quietly in his ear.

"I'll do my best," he promised, "but Linds I gotta be honest, I feel like I don't know what the hell I'm doin'."

"That makes two of us," she admitted, "Let me just start by saying if I get mean or rude with you today that I'm sorry and I love you."

It was Danny's turn to laugh. "Babe you can say or do whatever ya want to me today, an' I promise not to take offense. Just make one deal with me 'K."

At Lindsay's questioning look Danny continued, "Tell me exactly what you want me to do. If you want me to rub ya back, tell me. If ya want me to talk to you, tell me. If you want me to shut the hell up, tell me. A'right?"

"Done," Lindsay agreed, "Is it too late for me to request you give birth to this baby?"

"Yes," Danny answered without hesitation. Prompted by her question, he searched her face to see how scared she was. Her lips where pressed tighter together than normal, and her brown eyes held a hint of panic. "The truth is Lindsay, I am 100% positive I wouldn't be strong enough to do it. I have been floored with how amazing you've been through all of this. You worked even when you felt sick, you took care of me an' our relationship even when you were tired, you have educated yourself with every baby book under the sun, you've done everything right ta keep you and our baby healthy, you've made sacrifices, an' I know you are going to be an amazing mom. You are the bravest person I know, and I can't wait to see our little girl grow up to be jus' like you. You can do this, and then you'll just have to live with the fact that I'll forever worship the ground you walk on."

Buoyed by his words, Lindsay smiled, "Hmm...I think I can live with that. Does this mean

you'll go back to doing your own laundry?"

Danny gave an exaggerated shutter, "Hell no. I married you specifically so I'd never have ta step near a washin' machine again. Jus' know that I'll still be worshippin' ya even when you're holdin' a laundry basket."

Lindsay just rolled her eyes. "You're lucky you're such a good dishwasher, otherwise I would seriously be re-evaluating this relationship"

Lindsay just rolled her eyes. "You're lucky you're such a good dishwasher, otherwise I would seriously be re-evaluating this relationship."

Danny didn't buy it. He grinned at her, then leaned in and just as he expected she raised her cumbersome body up onto her toes, and stretched to meet his lips in a soft, tender kiss.

"It still feels pretty good to know I get to kiss my wife whenever I want," Danny said as they separated.

"Well, I thinks it pretty cool that I can kiss my husband whenever I want," Lindsay shot back. The terms husband and wife were still new and fresh, and even took a bit of getting used to, but right now as they prepared for the titles of mom and dad, it felt reassuring to know they were in this together."

"Ok, do you know what you're having?" Rosie asked.

"A girl," Danny breathed out in awe.

"Well, your daughter's heart rate is good and strong," she observed, "while this is working I just have a few more things to go over. I'm going to switch the sound off while we talk, but then if you prefer I can turn it back on." Rosie pushed a button, and the room fell silent.

Danny didn't like that at all. Lindsay laughed at the look on his face. "She didn't go anywhere," she teased him quietly, bringing their joined hands to rest on the predominate belly bump that housed their daughter.

Danny just huffed."
Catty chapter 4 . 6/14/2010
I love the clinical detail in this story, it really draws you into the urgency and panic that they are experiencing, the unstoppable rollercoaster that they are riding whiteknuckled eagerly awaiting the end and the magic it'll bring.

I'm incredibly impressed with the research you've done, the way you've written it, and the way you draw us in. I love the way you stay true to their characters, and the smooth way you've introduced your own characters and the way they interact with Danny and Lindsay.

Quite simply - fabulous and I can't wait for more.

laurzz chapter 4 . 6/13/2010
To begin with I thought this was an update for pretty much all of your stories apart from the one it actually was. It was quite amusing trying to narrow it down as to which it was.

Honestly, I absolutely loved this chapter. It was so in depth that it was just fantastic. I really believe that this is the exact reason why these stories should be written by wonderful golk like you that can get the details down; and put Lindsay, in this instance, in a position that is realistic because you've been there. You could tell me you were actually Rosie, right on in there in the chapter and I'd believe you 110 percent.

I love, love, love their realisation of how it was really happening now; the big event they've been waiting for for nine months! Their excitement, but nerves just radiate through this chapter and I just loved each and every bit of what you wrote.

Wonderful job here, I hope to see another update really soon! :)
Dine89 chapter 4 . 6/13/2010
Omg, I love this story so much and this chapter is amazing!

Lol, Adam is so cute when he's rambling, you gotta love him. He is such a good friend, to Danny and Lindsay.

Danny is really cute, he is so nervous and I guess it takes a lot for him not to freak out completely. I love his little speech he gives Lindsay "The truth is Lindsay, I am 100% positive I wouldn't be strong enough to do it. You can do this, and then you'll just have to live with the fact that I'll forever worship the ground you walk on." These are the words of encouragement she needs :) Love it that they still tease each other, even in a nerve-racking situation; but that's typical for them :)

Love nurse Rosie, she's really nice. I like the way you write the hole labor/delivery so far. I think the labor and delivery method you chose for Danny and Lindsay really fits. I can see them doing it in that way :)

Can't wait for more, so please update soon!
brinchen86 chapter 4 . 6/13/2010
First of all I can't tell you how excited I am to see this fic updated. I love it so incredibly much. Why? Because it's the most real fic I ever read. I'm more than happy you added all the medical stuff and showed us every detail of what happened. That's something I never read in any fic before and it was totally fantastic! Really, I enjoyed every second of it, because it just is real. It doesn't come across as fiction or anything. It's just the way it happened, even a very private moment and I love that you shared that with us.

I love how you portrayed their closeness. How Danny tells her he wants to support her. But even more I love how he is there all the time. It's really no comfortable at all and having your husband there is wonderful. I also like the doctor. But even though the doctor was in the room, you could feel this intimacy between them.

I also love the little details. Like how he reacts when there is no sound and how she is worried about the water at work and all. It's so sweet and wonderful.

Pretty please, post more soon! I'm so in love with this amazing story, with how real it is and with how you show us every single detail! You're writing Danny and Lindsay so incredibly well! I'm looking forward to more!
AnickaMarie chapter 3 . 11/28/2009
Lol Adam's messages. "I saw a cat give birth once." The poor guy...

And Danny, so excited and nervous at the same time. Can't wait to read more!

Oops, obviously already knew that the quotation marks & apostrophes had disappeared. :)
AnickaMarie chapter 1 . 11/28/2009
I've loved every one of your fics I've read so far and this one is looking like another great one. You do a wonderful job of filling in the details that are left out on the show.

p.s. sorry if someone has already pointed this out, but about half way through the chapter the quotation marks and apostrophes disappear
Nerwen Aldarion chapter 3 . 10/1/2009
AW this is so cute, and so in character that it almost feels like an episode. Wouldn't that be great? An entire episode about Danny and Lindsay? Still a good story
deviousnsinning chapter 3 . 9/14/2009
I'm so glad you're writing this story 'cause I really felt we missed out on a lot of the details surrounding little Lucy's entrance into the world. I know the focus can't be on DL (if only *lol*) but I sometimes feel we get a little short-changed.

Anyhoo, I absolutely love what you've posted so far and as much as I love how you write both Danny and Lindsay, I adore how you write Adam. His rambles are fabulous!

As with your other stories, this has a lovely realistic feel to it and I'm really looking forward to reading more.

Keep up the amazing work!
laurzz chapter 3 . 9/10/2009
Another fantastic chapter m'dear!

I absolutely loved the story behind why Danny wasn't able to answer the phone.

I really could feel his dread and sinking feeling when he got her messages at the fact he'd missed her calls. And it was such a simple sentence. "Five?” Danny felt his stomach drop and his heartbeat speed up."

I mean we've all been there and receieved calls but missed then and kick yourself that you have. This kinda call? I think Danny probably had nightmares about this exact scenario. Poor guy. Loved how you got his feelings across so simply.

Adam's message? You are the MASTER in Adam rambles. Period.

I mean, even in the car on the way - it was so... fantastic. The fact that you had him leave a message before the one we heard completely explains the "Voicemail... again." I mean it's such a little thing, but I really liked that.

Danny's concerns about something going wrong? I didn't know whether to squee at his sweetness and concern or hug him and reassure him everything would be fine! haha.

And then how you went onto Danny's realisation he was meeting his little girl? I think I melted.

Absolutely LOVED this image in my mind - "Danny nodded his head, gazing down at his phone and whispered, “My daughter.” I can see it so well.

Danny going to see her in Montana and how you described it? I love you. S'all i'm gonna say on that one. 3

Loved the fact that they both had the same reaction flood through them when they saw the other. Well, he'd found her for Lindsay, and he was finally here, for himself. I thought it was a perfect ending to the chapter and leads you on fantastically to the actual labour!
Hylen chapter 3 . 9/9/2009
Aww this was great! I love how worried and frantic Danny was, cause that is so him. And I loved the memory of him surprising her in Montana again. It was so sweet and I could see them actually doing that. I can't wait to read the next chapter!
pretty7 chapter 3 . 9/9/2009
ONE WORD:

AWESOME!

Do you seriously need me to say more? because i really can't or else i'll be out of words. You delivered this so well which proves YOU ROCK as a writer. I mean we've got comedy, anxiety attack and etc. Thank god hawkes was there, and if he weren't i'd probably say danny will be out of his mind lol.

I just loved your own input on what really happened behind the scenes lol. No connection spells trouble for a future daddy-to-be thank god for those messages, i think that kept him sane or may be worse lol, i dunno but i loved his reaction and he went all black and remembered going to Montana while was on 'suspension' that just made me go *aw* one heck of a suspension huh? THAT i really didn't expect, you just are full of great ideas and i admire that, i think that makes your stories really good. Oh i also wanna point out his 'anxiety' if he was gonna make it or not... again, thank to hawkes for reassuring him :)

This really is AWESOME!

BRING ON THE NEXT CHAPTER lol, can't wait what you're up to next :)
Colie04 chapter 3 . 9/8/2009
It always makes my day when I wake up in the morning & find an e-mail telling me that you updated one of your fics or wrote a new one. So to wake up this morning & see that you updated this amazing fic made me really excited.

I'm really happy to see you write about how Danny found out about Lindsay going into labor. That's one of the things they didn't show in the show that I wanted to see. I would've loved to see his reaction.

I really enjoyed reading Adam's voicemail messages. Once he starts rambling he doesn't stop. You've got him down pat.

I love how Hawkes reassured Danny that everything would be ok especially when he was worrying that something would happen to either the baby or Lindsay. I think it's a very realistic fear & to hear from Hawkes, who happens to be a doctor, that they're in a hospital & the doctors wouldn't let anything happen to the baby or Lindsay helped Danny get over that fear.

I really liked how he focused on Lindsay to help him relax. The little tidbit about him surprising her by visiting her in Montana was really sweet. This was my favorite line from that.

"In their tight embrace he had felt their daughter kick against his stomach. Feeling a bit of the terror ebb as he allowed the memory to wash over him, Danny opened his eyes. Today he would get the chance to finally feel her skin against his."

Great job on this chapter! I'm hoping that you'll update this real soon.
