Wow, I don't usually like sad stories but this one...

I'm speechless really. You did a splendid job at conveying...everything. From Xanxus' constant denial, the way he is slowly dying inside without Squalo to the final moments where he can't hold it any longer and falls apart. Just beautiful.

Although I do prefer XS fics with happy endings, this one is an exception. You are brilliant at writing tragedies, and I'm definitely going to remember this one for a while.

I think I've read this oneshot(?) on LiveJournal before. It's interesting. Xanxus in denial fics always appeal to me. lol

Throughout your fic, I found myself wondering what actually did happen to Squalo. He went down that easily? Someone shot him?
