I only read a few chapters in the manga and watched most of the anime instead. So I never knew that the anime Sakuno was pretty different from her manga counterpart. Thanks for writing this story. If you didn't, I probably would have never known. :)

Thanks for writing this, the anime portrayal of Sakuno has always annoyed me. (Especially her voice in the English dubs.) Nice work showing Sakuno in a more realistic light.

They are different actually. I finished watching the anime verison of Prince of Tennis and started to read the manga verison. In the anime, Sakuno can not cook at all and she started tennis because of Ryoma. In the manga, she cooks pretty well and she started because of her parents and grandmother. With these two examples it's already a vast difference between both of them... Why did Sakuno turn into such a clumsy, crazed for Ryoma, everything-Ryoma-does-is-my-reason-for-living kind of person?

ah, thanks for putting this up. i agree, i do think she got the shaft when it came to the anime adaptation.

You are great. I really liked the Sakuno in the manga, but I dislike most of the changes that they put into her character for the anime. In the anime, she's just annoying... So I like how you show the contrast and what she really thinks.
