| Guest chapter 12 . 5/19/2016 Nukes don't turn things to atomized bits - they just make very powerful explosions that, more than a couple hundred meters from the detonation site or so depending on the destructive power of the nuke (which may vary 100-fold from the hundred-kiloton range to the multi-megaton range for strategic weapons) create rubble and firestorms. |

Wouldn't surprise me that the whole Skynet issue was the CIA wanting to have their own access into the Air Force's shiny new AI for managing the US strategic nuclear arsenal and the extra coding caused a HAL 9000 moment that spun out of control like no one's business :S |
