God. Can I say you brought a tear to me? That was heartwrenching. It's so true about Jim being Pike's legacy. If Pike hadn't dared him, then nothing in the movie would've happened. But, Good God, the description of Bones having to go through that with Pike was horrible. I can't imagine sitting with someone for twelve hours listening to them beg like that. Excellent Eulogy. I love how Kirk is the one who has to deliver it. I can see him smashing it out of the ballpark... _ ~NT

I'm not the first one to do it! Hallelujah! I killed Pike in a fanfic of my own recently, spent the rest of the night figuring out a decent eulogy. Yours, my dear, was fantastic! Sad, touching, and very sweet. All very true. And who better to deliver the eulogy for "one of Starfleet's finest officers" than James Kirk? I loved it!
