Reviews for Gamera against The Great Old Ones
Tarbtano chapter 4 . 8/19
I'd be extremely curious to see how this story would have ended.

Interesting start!
Ivo-goji chapter 4 . 2/21/2010
Excellent work once again! I was looking forward to seeing you continue this story!

Interesting how you always refer to Gamera as 'it' instead of 'he'. It is more fitting I suppose, seeing as Gamera would logically lack any gender, being a biological weapon of mass destruction with no other purpose besides killing the awakened Old Ones. Nice touch.

I think you could have taken more time to develop Arluk's character. He seems to have taken up the mantle of cheif and extreme observance of his tribe's traditions without any real reluctance. Wouldn't such a dramatic personality change occur gradually rather than all at once?

Travares reaction to the Cold Ones seems kinda strange to me. About to engage a giant worm and his first thought is to completely ignore the ghostly figure entering his cockpit? Not sure if that is un-realistic or exactly how the air-force trains its recruits to respond, the whole scene just comes off as odd. His reaction to Gamera, on the hand, is exactly what one would expect for any person: total suprise and loud cursing!XD A nice destraction from the rather disturbing slaughter of his comrads.

Please keep up the good work and insure that this fic sees through to the end! I will continue to keep an eye on it!
Ivo-goji chapter 2 . 9/5/2009
First of all, let me start by saying that you really are a talented writer! Your descriptions are so vivid, and the potrayl of emotion so deep and realistic! The vocabulary is a bit over the top (..."revealing a sphincter-like orifice on its recently inflated clitellum which was aglow with pallid light."), but enjoyable to read and fits the situation's feeling of epic magnitude. Your characterazation is amazing as well.

Second, I must say this is indeed an original and awsome concept! Many fans like myself have considered meshing the Godzilla, Gamera, and Cthulhu Mythos together, but none have done so in such an incredible, in-depth way! The tone of the whole Lovecraftain world is present here with out flaw, and the many refrences to the Gamera series only strengthen the storys atmousphere. Such a great, inthralling story! Please do continue!
