Because with the scenario of The Little Mermaid, the real one, not the Disney one, things didn't exactly work out. (The Disney version had a happy ending.) The best readers can hope for is the ending where the mermaid becomes a Daughter Of The Sky or one where she's the part of the sea and she's helping sailers. Even then the ending isn't entirely happy...just bittersweet.

Not all humans are so observant...if at all. We tend to rely on our eyes, maybe a bit too much.

I just finished watching the Cat Returns and I decided to go through the fanfiction archive to see if anything interesting came up. I am glad that I did because I am now very curious about the Baron and Yuuko's past. Does it have anything to do with the plot and Baron from Whisper of the Heart? Are you going to have Muta (Moon) have anything to do with this and if so will he be the same cat from Whisper of the Heart? I await the rewrite or continuation of this story if it ever comes.

This fanfic is so enticing already.

I would just adore it and die happily if you were to continue. The writing is so simple and it gets to the point but there are enough descriptions to give you an image of what is being portrayed. Though it wouldn't hurt to add more.
