Hi. I first read this as a 14 year old with a huge crush on Lucien, and absolutely weary of poorly written OFCs paired with him. (I'm 21 going on 22 now, and to those authors I say this: go hog wild and do your thing!)
Coming back to the point, I read this for the first time back then, and immediately fell in love. I was absolutely blown away by everything - the plot, the pacing, one of the best characterisations of Lucien Lachance I've seen to date - and your character. God. I was utterly awestruck by how unique he was, and how unpretentious he was, and just how odd he was. I loved him, and loved the dynamic he and Lucien eventually shared. It's been nearly 8 years, and I'm still curious about the plot. I haven't lost my love for this fic, or the characters. I decided to check in and drop a review (again, pretty sure I did this a couple of years ago...) because I was nostalgic.
I've been on your DA page, I know you said you wouldn't update this, it's a permanent hiatus. And that's alright, although it does make me a little sad that I won't know what happens to them. I assume everything works out, and he staves off his suicidal tendencies to live with Lucien until it's time for them both to go.
I hope you're doing okay, author, and that life has been kind to you.

I honestly don't think I've ever gotten sucked into a story faster. Fingers crossed you'll come back and finish this!

I have been following this story since 2011, and I have to say that I am astonished that it has been over 4 years since the author last updated. The story is amazing-probably the best Lucien related fic I've read on this site. Makes me think of tragic irony and all that jazz. Here's hoping that the author is not dead and that she/he continues this great story.

Ah well, I'm grateful for what is given. You made a great Lucien, and a great OC (who is so loveable and hugable). To be honest, I don't know where to begin with the praises.

I know that you may never read this, but I do agree with what you said in the author's note. Not all yaoi stories need sex in them, no matter how much I wish for this one to because this story is down right delicious! But I would love it if you continued, not just for but all of your fans.

It actually sort of makes sense for Noveni to be Aldos' lady... They, they being some other Dunmer whose name I forgot, said that Aldos would be buried next to his wife. Noveni being a necromancer, with access to at least some control over the dead, straightened that bit out. Apparently, she 'died' during a bandit attack, but they may as well have been necromancers in disguise, taking her and another body, manipulating their faces, and then escaping with Noveni, leaving Othras with a dead unknown woman with his wife's face. And I'm assuming that their Illusion magic, or Alteration, or whatever Jagar Tharn used more, didn't run out intil 'Noveni' was buried as they watched in secret.
It's actually depressing, really.

...O.O Wow, this is...HOT! I'm really loving this story, especially since you're keeping Lucien in character, and Caelan is surprisingly enjoyable. I love the interactions between Lucien and Caelan, their personalities both clash and compliment each other, and I hope that they manage to fix Caelan's unkillability! You kinda have to wonder though; since Caelan's going to be immortal, is Lucien going to try and find a way to get that way too? I wouldn't put it past my favorite assassin. :P LOL! Please keep up the excellent work and I hope you decide to continue this story!
