SOOOOOOO SWEEETTT! I LOVE Emily and Teddy:)

*heart eyes* I absolutely ADORE the Emily books, and Teddy and Emily's slow-burn romance, and I've ALWAYS wanted to know what he wrote! You captured both LMM's style and Teddy's romanticism beautifully. If only Emily had read this... it would have saved both of them so much unnecessary pain...

Also, as much as the Emily fics on this site count up to only 26 fics (26! This series is so underrated...), I'm pleased that this fic has the most favorites. You deserved it :')

Just finished the Emily trilogy and wanted to read more... thank you for going to the trouble to research the Vega of Lyre backstory. It adds a depth to the relationship which I hadn’t suspected. Well done!

I think I might've cried when I read this... Beautifully written, in the style of the time, and it was touching and poignant. To be honest, I've always wondered what Teddy wrote to Emily in that letter. But overall, it was really good :D

Oh I WISH this could have gone to Emily! That would have made the story WAY less confusing...

As I've said, I do like Teddy and Emily together, but the way the story languished in contrived romantic tension was profoundly frustrating. Why couldn't the author pick a different source of conflict! I feel like this is a good representation of what he would write and it's phrased in just the right way that he would think she was rejecting him if she didn't respond. I do have to go more with the "don't have the guts to say it to your face" explanation more than the "I didn't have time to tell you" when writing this letter probably took awhile.

I never knew the story of Vega of the Lyre, until I read it in your story. You wove it in beautifully.

Wow. I loved the Emily trilogy...and this was believable and in character for Teddy.

Too bad his mother kept them apart so long.

Very well-written. It's one of my pet peeves in the Emily books that Teddy becomes less and less dimensional as the series goes on - it's like Montgomery didn't know quite what to do with him as an adult. Little things like this would have served to flesh him out more. You've struck a nice note - sweet without being too schmaltzy, and providing a glimmer into Teddy's character.

Brought tears to my eyes. Beautifully written and very teddy-like.
