In response to the review reply you sent, I just assumed Kirk was the type to usually play strip poker. Poor Kirk never had a chance with Uhura. Even before she met Spock. lol

Okay, on to the review. This was depressing. I never really thought about the possibility that those were their last words to each other. The very last line makes him seem older than he really is.

Gaila is not just a character from the movie, but a sum of all the different classmates who died. She personified a roommate, a friend, a lover (of sorts), and what might have happened to Uhura had she not convinced Spock to put her on the Enterprise. Your talent at writing emotion conveyed that sense of dimension for her and also for Kirk. This is one of my favorites of drabbles so far.

I love these! They're all so...perfect! I particularly liked the mentor drabbles with Kirk and Chekov! I read them on LJ (although I don't have an acount there...shh!) and loved them, so I was super happy they were a part of this so I could tell you how great they are! Very, very funny. I was wondering how much of the original continuity Kirk got from old Spock from the mind meld, and how much he will retain?
