Gracie-19 chapter 1 . 2/4/2011
"It felt stronger when he was on his Silver Lady, and so the Nexus ceased to conjure the ship for him. It felt stronger, too, when he was alone, and so there was always some companion to fill his time, a warm face from his past that came close to his heart… and yet, never quite soothed him. "

"Because Spock could never be duplicated by the Nexus, because his memory would have always compelled him to leave and drawn him illusory paradise could not compete with their hard-won bond. It could not mimic it. So instead it had destroyed it, like a jealous artist faced with a painting of such incomparable magnificence that it could only burn it to avoid the impossible standard it set."

Wow. Just wow. You managed to explain beautifully everything they had, and at the same time explain Antonia (by the way, who the hell was she?) on the movie. And why Spock wasn't there when Picard found him.

Really, you discribed everything in a heartbreaking and beautiful way! I loved it!

Thank you!
Doni chapter 1 . 8/20/2010

Hekateras chapter 1 . 12/2/2009

Phlogistics chapter 1 . 10/18/2009
This was absolutely beautiful.
Me Or The Wallpaper chapter 1 . 6/21/2009
So, I read "The Long Road" first.

And then I practically cried.

Like, I get kind of emotional over fiction. Which is weird, since I don't get emotional over real life all that often, but anyway- The Long Road just cut right to the bone, to the heart of things, and it was so... I don't want to say 'logical' just because... well, it was about Spock, and that would seem both oxymoronic and redundant, which is a weird feeling, so yeah. But that is EXACTLY how Spock would have reacted, completely on par with his character. Like, really impressive. But it still made me really upset, basically because of that. So I didn't want to read this, of course. But I finally did, because you're a good writer and all that and you weren't updating Home, and it just made me grin from ear to ear. How the hell are you doing this? I'm not even a Kirk/Spock FAN and I think your work is awesome and in character and oh crap.

So yeah. I know you probably won't respond to this or possibly, even read it, what with getting around 100 reviews per update of basically anything you do, but I just thought I should tell you.

Yuki chapter 1 . 6/10/2009
"The most significant being he had ever shared his life with." Lovely. The jealous artist metaphor was beautiful too.

I'm a sucker for emotional bonds doing seemly impossible things (what fangirl isn't?) and this is a great example of it's kind.
Wolfish-Insanity chapter 1 . 5/29/2009
So. Most of this had be confused, but by the end, I understood, and you made me tear up all over again. Damn you.
