Reviews for Koh's Reckoning
thewulf-aloha4ever chapter 8 . 7/20
I really enjoyed this story. Very creative!
Kina Kalamari chapter 8 . 7/10/2018
I’m not sure why it took me so long to get around to reading this (it was long enough that I had to reread the first story before I did), but I’m so glad I finally got to it.

This was fantastic. The connection you made between Koh and the Avatar was fascinating, and I loved how you wrote Toph’s first time with sight. It felt very real and very Toph. (I loved her interactions with Zuko. They were both hilarious and very touching.)

Great story.
Junimullet chapter 8 . 2/10/2018
I started and finished this in a day, and it was amazing. Every single sentence was so gripping that I couldn't put it down, even at the expense of my precious beauty sleep. I aspire to write with the same fluidity and expressiveness that you are so blessed with. This is more than just a work of fan fiction, but a real masterpiece that deserves to be read by everyone, Avatara or non-Avatar fan. If Kataangers can put aside their differences for a moment, they'd be pleasantly surprised by this. You did such a great job bringing the characters to life. You can really feel how much the gaang has aged, and yet, how much they still haven't changed much. It all felt so familiar, and yet, they all learned so much. *I* learned so much through their journey. You seem like a deep person, and there were numerous times throughout when I felt I could relate to their emotions and when a particular sentence spoke to me. Love it. And of course, Katara the badass Sugar Queen wouldn't take crap from a spirit. No, sir. She delivered. The Sugar King is a lucky man, indeed. Love this. I cried several times. Thank you. Will read it again sometime soon and review again lol.
Junimullet chapter 2 . 2/9/2018
Bloody hell. Two chapters in, and I'm already sucked in. This is so intense. I absolutely love your choice of descriptive vocabulary. I feel very intellectually stimulated reading your writing. The fact that you devoted so much of your time and prowess to a work of fan fiction is just astounding. Thank you for this. Thank you for doing justice to the pairing, and creating such an amazing reading experience for us. You scared the pants off of me when Koh stole her face. I nearly cried with Zuko. And the confrontation between Zuko and Aang was flawlessly messy. Loveeeee it.
Reagan chapter 8 . 12/3/2017
I don't even know if you're still active on here, but I just wanted to say that I started reading this back in 2010 and it had a MASSIVE impact on my writing style, my characterizations, even the way I planned out plots. Every facet of this fic was so enchanting, so mesmerizing, and now, reading it again as an adult, I have to say it's just as amazing. I had almost forgotten the magic of reading it, though, until a conversation with a significant other brought me back here. For years I have had strange memories about AtLA that didn't seem to come from the canon universe; your story just felt so real, so true to the canon, I subconsciously incorporated your version Koh into my memory of the show. So thanks, I guess, for bringing this into existence.

thelittlepandagirl chapter 8 . 4/24/2016
I read this a couple of years ago and found it very beautiful, as well as Beyond the Rising Sun. I still feel the same. Thank you for sharing your stories.
NeverBeforeOrAgain chapter 1 . 1/4/2016
I really love your Zutara stories! I can only hope that in time you chose to write another one. Thank you.
Guest chapter 8 . 4/19/2015
personally a bit disappointed with azulas charactet arc, seeingthe wau she reacted at her mothers death in btrs (and the ace portrayal of her recovery in the prologue), i thoguht she would show more signs of recovery and at least some sort of allusion to her remptiob. dont get me wrong this was quite an interesting story but i feel like azula wasnot given justice, simply writing her off as a crazy somewhat diminishes her (espcially how wonderfully complex and subtly developed she was at the end of btrs, even during it). otherwise it was a good zutara epic.

ladyjane025 chapter 8 . 8/19/2014
Love live Zutara, agreed. This almost seemed like cannon. Well done.
Guest chapter 8 . 7/17/2014
This story is pure gold and I am actually tempted to print this one and its predecessor out for my personal keeping (I wouldn't sell it so don't worry about the whole profit thing haha). I loved it start to finish and couldn't put my phone down, and I love the way you write each of the characters. I also love your attention to detail-the way the tense changes to present in the Spirit World because time passes differently; the way their souls aren't affected by their bodily scars; the way Toph is overwhelmed by her sight; and so much more-and I absolutely love Toph in general, so I love her role in all this. Also the way you went in depth with Koh? GOLD, MAN, GOLD! I am such a big fan. You're so inpiring ahhhhh! :')
PurseMonger chapter 8 . 5/2/2014
This was really well done. I liked that you gave Toph a chance to see and that you gave Karuk and Ummi a happy ending. Mostly though, I like how you dealt with Aang getting over Katara. I've always figured it would take him a long time and risking her life was a good way for him to see that he needs to move on.
