| threedays chapter 1 . 12/4/2011 Love! Okay, so I'm over two years late stumbling across this story and replying to it. But I love it! When I was about, oh, seven, my parents gave me and my sisters each a brand new beach towel. Now, we weren't a beach-going family - the towels never got used for much more than baths, and a place to lay outside on the lawn in the sun, and something to roll up and snap a sister with - but I remember thinking that having a NEW towel, with no fuzzies and no thin places and no small but quickly unraveling holes along the edges, was the coolest thing in the world. I felt rich! That must be how Sam feels with his new sneakers. I love it! And I love stories about John being a good dad, the best he can. Thanks for this! |
