You should write professionally. But please just write another chapter for this and continue with At Gate's Edge. Yes, I really love them, if you are wondering, no, I'm not a lurker, I didn't have internet in my house and couldn't use the net as efficiently in a cyber, by the way I'm from Nicaragua, a country in which we only talk in spanish, and your stories helped me to learn a little english, but damn was it worthy.

When I said that I'd read all your Roy/Ed's, I forgot to mention that I left out the ones that had labels like Hurt or Tragedy on them. And now, I have several things to say to you, and I'll even subject you to the songs that got stuck in my head somehow during the course of this reading. I'll warn you in advance that there isn't much substance in this review.

o) "Gosh, I don't know what to say- I'm really glad you feel that way, 'cause I'm afraid that I like you more than I've ever liked any guy before-" little Roy is a TERROR. And I adore them together, as children. There is no room for improvement here.

o) "Every now and then I fall apart. And I need you now, tonight. And I need you more than ever. And if you only hold me tight, we'll be holding on forever." I know you that 'pretty eyes' as a term of endearment emphasizes their youth better, but I would've preferred 'bright eyes'.

o) As always, the dates that your characters go on have one unfortunate side-effect: they make me very, very hungry. Even now, I want to go eat with restauranteur Roy, and not even for his company. Good job with the foodness. Even when Ed isn't busy seducing Roy with his inappropriate mouth to edibles action.

o) I just finished reading Sel Euriad(sp?) before this, and I was absolutely ecstatic that you wrote about a selkie. I've only read one other work of fiction that involved selkies, actually. And when I named my new Seagate external hard drive 'selkie', not many people recognized the term. (I named it that because it's made to switch from Mac and PC without reformatting, and has a glossy (read:wetlook) finish. Nerd? yes.)

I'll go back to my corner now and wait patiently (right) for you to update ghosty Ed. I love how you've basically incorporated self-referential easter eggs for your loyal readers. Llamas and pandas and mothers, oh my. In fact, I keep forgetting that your version of Daphne isn't canon. Actually, the more you show continuity, the more I think that the referenced source material is from the actual franchise, rather than the story that I read before this one. You deceitful minx. (Oops. This is long. Sorry.)

The way it was written was breathtaking, and I found myself smiling during particular scenes - you captured the innocence of childhood perfectly, and it was so in character! I loved the story, and the ending was bittersweet, with just the right amount of hope mixed in. Honestly, an amazing read. Thank you! :D
