I still love rereading this; one of my all time favs. Very sweet. And I'm a sucker for stories of Sara and Grissom growing old together. :)

It's not very often that I review stories on here, but this story was so beautiful I couldn't NOT review it. This story is perfect beyond words, and incredibly moving.

Albus Paulson chapter 1 . 8/30/2009
Honestly, I thought that Grissom was dead before reading the end of this.

Mark is 34.

Greg was at least 36 when Mark was born.

Greg was at least 20 years younger than Grissom.

34362090. And I rounded down. He must've aged well.

Great fic.

Man, I've got tears in my eyes reading this. It's taken me by surprise. This is just truly beautiful. I admire your talent. I could feel so much love emanate from this piece. For a long while, I thought Grissom had died and of course I'm sure it was your intention. Truly amazing.

ilovegsr chapter 1 . 5/2/2009
This was beautiful. You had me going, I was thinking Grissom had died. I just can't think of our Grissom getting old though. It's too depressing. LOL! Miss your writing, thanks for this!

Well, I can tell Chauncey helped thanks to that signature last line :-) Waterbeds... it's a giveaway.

Sorry it took me a while to review.

Like I said before, you have a beautiful way of weaving your stories and setting a scene. I thought it was lovely.

Take care, Jean

Oh that had me thinking that Gil had passed away, and thank you for surprising me at the end when he turns up.

Great story, thanks for posting.

I loved the fact that you tricked me into believing Grissom was dead! Was soo happy when he turned up, and when I re-read it, I again, did not expect it! Well done. I loved how you let us see a little into Mark's memories of staying in this house, and being around Grissom and Sara. I giggled at the part where Grissom is grumpy about riding with Greg's terrible driving; made the fact that I found out Grissom was not dead very light-hearted. Thanks again for posting :)

You are such a sneak. I thought Grissom was dead. Although, I have to say I'm impressed with him running around like that at 95. Then - just when I thought it was safe - you choked me up with the house. Great story. :D
Moochiecat chapter 1 . 4/21/2009
Bwah! Do you know how hard it is to read between tear drops? I need Ghiridelli dark chocolate squares with raspberry creme centers. I need them, NOW! Great story! I just presumed that since Grissom would be apprx. 95 years old, that he had just died. (hence the constant lump in throat while I was reading - I really lost it.) Nice surprise twist. Loved Mark's emotions and memories. Thanks for a wonderful fic!
gsr lover1 chapter 1 . 4/21/2009
Not fair, I was crying like a baby when I thought Gil was gone. As I am very sensitive I didn't want to finisk - but I did. Happy Gil was alive but still couldn't stop cying. Shame on you!
kudostogill chapter 1 . 4/21/2009
That was one of the most worderful storys I have read in a long time. I enjoyed it til the end. I knew there was no way you would have let Grissom die just yet. He is to Stuburn to die without Sara. Love this story It will be on my favorite list.
