I love how Hagrid is looking after Eileen, and seeing to it that she has decent clothing to wear. (what a pity that nobody seems to be doing as much for her son, but then, he's on his own, apparently).

Well, Eileen still loves her husband more than his son, and we all know how well Albus actually protects people (ask Lily if the Cloak Dumbledore kept for himself might have saved her. Oh, wait, she's dead). And Hagrid is nearly as bad as Albus, because you know he'll end up telling the Headmaster all about that book.

I don't blame Eileen for not trusting any of them.

Well, Eileen is worried sick about her son, or so we hope, but we know that nobody else is, not really.

Yes, Severus needs protecting all right, but we know that's not what Albus really wants. He's a day late and a dollar short on that part, but then, he proved he didn't care when he chose a werewolf's education over Snape's life. Surprised he's not sending his beloved Marauders to round Snape up.

As for Eileen, she's probably sick of both sides.

I am really amazed that it took her this long to walk out on Tobias-Heaven only knows what would have happened to her because of Thug and Thugger if she'd stayed.

Too bad she didn't think of protecting Severus as important when he was small and needed it.
