WillowDryad chapter 1 . 4/8/2014

Well done.

Thank you!

Haha! Indeed! You've got it. I love the way these two brothers 'sort' it out... nothing beats it. Haha! Awesome fic!
Maddy Carr chapter 1 . 9/27/2010
I can't believe I'd never found this story before now, but it was fabulous! I'm not sure what I liked best about it - Peter discovering he is human after all, or the blessed unsentimentality of it. Well done. I also loved the little details of the thoroughly English banquet with its bread and jam and sponge cake. Yum

I just found this story. It doesn't matter that wonderful stories had already been written on this theme, there is always room for one more. You did a great job. Your contribution is now one of my favourites.
A.Deep.Life chapter 1 . 1/14/2010
I really, really enjoyed this. There are some aspects of the PC movie-verse that I prefer to the book-verse, and the character development of both Peter and Edmund in the movie is one of them. What with time constraints and etc, the movie couldn't even go as in-depth as I would have liked it to, so it was wonderful to read this "missing scene" that definitely would have fit into the movie delightfully. Your handling of both characters, their dialogue, and thought processes were both believable and, to me, very in-character. And I've always been a sucker for non-slash/incest fics that deal with the relationships between the Pevensies. :)
LadyoftheShield chapter 1 . 9/20/2009

Violet Fire Krazed chapter 1 . 9/17/2009

Autumnia chapter 1 . 6/16/2009
I like the idea behind this story. Everyone has their own ideas of what Peter's thoughts were as he was tempted by the Witch in the movie, but I like how you used it to show his understanding of what Edmund had gone through during their first time in Narnia. Peter just needed to know that he was human, that any one of them would have been as tempted as he was. And Edmund knew, and understood how to help his older brother find the forgiveness he needed.
SpangleyPony chapter 1 . 6/4/2009
great interpretation I'm glad you posted
ilysia chapter 1 . 5/27/2009
This is very good. Very, very good. I was never very comfortable with PC movie-verse, but these characters I recognize, these characters are Peter and Edmund at their flawed, human best. Edmund's reluctance to think or talk about the Witch Peter's regret over thinking himself stronger temptation-wise are both beautifully articulated and very real. And the simple description you used: for some reason, the description as Edmund left the tent struck something. I could see everything perfectly, and that is something I really look for and enjoy in any story. Plus, you know, this one was wonderfully written. Bravo!
mokatster chapter 1 . 4/29/2009
This was beautiful!

Once again, I think your characterization of these two is spot-on! Edmund, trying to avoid any sort of painful, soul-searching topic, but Peter's there, determined to speak.

I love that despite his anger towards his brother and his reluctance to continue the conversation, Edmund realizes what Peter needs. And he gives it to him, without hesitation.

And he's right, "forgiveness is a funny thing." You don't have to be Aslan and spout all sorts of wisdom to forgive someone. :)

Lovely! Thanks for writing!
kutlessgurl90 chapter 1 . 4/27/2009
very nice fanfic. in the movie, i didn't think that peter gave edmund a proper apology and i think this extra scene pulls it all together. you got deep into peter's character and his thoughts during the white witch scene. but we are all human, we all make mistakes, and we all need to be forgiven. and edmund's simple, subtle words were just that: forgiveness. loved this! )
Wildfire2 chapter 1 . 4/10/2009
I really enjoyed this story, it was very well done. I hope you'll continue to write more Narnia fanfics as this was very good. I liked the honest reactions, Peter's guilt and Edmund's anger. It was handled very well.

Thanks for writing,

Wildfire
elecktrum chapter 1 . 4/10/2009
What I like about this is that you offer a logical and believable insight for Stan's - sorry, I mean Peter's conduct in the movie. You present the characters very much as themselves - no overblown emotions, a smattering of humor, a little bit of hesitation, a lot of resolution and love and understanding between brothers and kings from a different age of Narnia. Very nicely done. I thoroughly enjoyed this tale and I hope you give us more!
