I just reread this story, and since I don't think I reviewed the first time, I'd just like to say I thought it was great, especially with how it managed to retell the events without seeming redundant (like how the last fight with Jack had Briar's perspective).

Damn man that was prime stuff you've written.

I read it all in one go and it really captured how I myself played the game. Loved the way you expanded some scenes to really flush out the Hero and Briar Rose's relationship while still being completely faithful to the storytelling.

Truly some heroic shit my man.

Gave me some closure on the whole affair. It irked me to no end to have Briar Rose be ... eye candy. Smart and pretty and unattainable is no fun for escapist fantasy. This was a lot of fun and believable to read, thanks!

An excellent end to a rather pleasant little story. I've read longer stories with less content, and bigger chapters with less heart. Although my preferences are towards novels, this reminded me of the little DnD books that came out for the characters provided for 3.5 like Regdar, Torik, and others. It was a lot of fun to read and had a very nice (if vicariously frustrating) love story too. The hero and the heroine get each other and their reward of a happy life together...there really aren't any better endings than that. So thank you for the work and the joy.

Aw man, they got kiss-blocked, typical timing for louts like Reaper. Love Scarlet's comment about them FINALLY coming to their senses.

This was a good chapter, both extremely happy and a bit melancholy, as Notros and Scarlet were freed to their rest.

Chapter was good overall, did a good job illustrating the tense nature of Rose's choice to turn her back to him. The significance of that moment was made very clear, as was the intensity.

Hmm, some interesting foreshadowing in this chapter regarding Scythe, who knows who he really is?

Why does everyone knock the beards? Beards are epic and stylish.

Hahahaha, the glare of "if it weren't for me, you wouldn't change your socks" Every male has had it sent at him some time in their lives. And I love how just as he manages to turn the tables on her little "lockpick inquisition" boom happens.

Well that's one way to get a front seat view...ok that was a bad but it fits...badum tish.

It's sad they had to stay apart from the voyage, but I'm guessing she didn't want to go that far yet. That long at see and they wouldn't be able to avoid it any longer.

Hehehe, little bit of a Freudian slip there Rose, we didn't betray any repressed thoughts there did we? :P She can certainly hold a grudge too, if her reaction to Maze's hologram was any indication.

Oy, just as they FINALLY start to figure things out after ANOTHER year, off he goes on another quest... Thaaaat's it! I'm locking them in a room and not letting them out until they break the bed. Joking aside, it's good to see them realize just how much they mean to each other.

Oh come on you 2, quit pussyfooting around and smell the pheromones! Sheesh, talk about taking it slow, it's been BLOODY decades. -_-
