Fantastic story! I really love it for so many reasons, your characterisations are great, the plot is well paced and Erestor is just too cool! (so is Fingon and Maglor and Maedhros and Ereinion). I look forward to the next chapter! Keep going!

This one speaks for chapters 7, 8, and 9. I like how you made Maedhros all aloof. I like how you made Maglor the cool musician type. I still like the brotherhood-ish relationship between Erestor and Ereinion. This is amazing. I hope you continue this sometime...

This speaks for the first 3 chapters-I loved this. The detail is great (maybe because detail isn't one of my strong points, hehe.) I like Erestor's innocence. I like Ereinion trying to hide his sorrow. I like Fingon being so fatherly. And Turgon too. I like the interaction between Fingon and Erestor. And I just loved this.

Now, off to chapter 4...

An interesting chapter. I can't help wondering why they were attacked. There isn't a clear reason given in the story, and it seems unusual behaviour for elves. Maedhros' response to the attack makes sense. Has Ereinion been given his epesse of Gil-galad yet? What happened to his mother - or did you mention that earlier and I've just forgotten? I may well have forgotten. Anyhow, nice update and I look forward to your next one.

Interesting chapter. I can't help wondering about Himring's hallways. In Medieval castles, stairways and hallways were often very narrow so that one or two defenders could hold off a much larger attacking group. With reference to height, Maedhros is referred to as 'the tall' by JRR Tolkien so the ceilings shouldn't be TOO low or he will keep banging his head. Medieval castles often had 'murder holes' for pouring boiling oil and other unpleasant things on invaders - seems to me they would fit very well in your Himring. I'm glad to see this story continuing, and look forward to the next installment. The Feanorians seem ok to me.

They are surely not the warm and cuddly type there in Himring! I already feel sorry for Ereinion and Erestor. Not to say two young twins who will eventually make their homes here after Sirion falls. Your characterization of the Feanorians is chilling! Can't wait for more.

The ending is amusing. People can be appallingly hard to herd.

How intimidating to ride into the clutches of the kinslayers - Fingon's blood relations or not! I enjoyed the interactions between Ereinion and Erestor. It was also great to see young Erestor take charge of the group after Fingon gave the wordless orders and rode ahead with Maedhros. Looking forward to the next chapter.
