gota gelada chapter 160 . 2/23/2014
Hello, hello! It's me!
Well, i finally conjured the courage to read the end of this fic.
You know, it was difficult to me, as you said, it was almost four years and i was here from the begining. The routine of reading weekly a trully good story was over.
I had outgrown the narutoverse some time ago, being your fic the only link there. I think that's why i procrastinated for so long the reading of the final chapter.
The other reason is that i had an oportunity to visit London for some time last winter and, the fact that i came from a latin america country with so much violence, poverty and social problems, made me curious to see all the cultural crash i had seen in your story.
Well, let me congratulate you for your really great job, i love your write style, and ask you to let me know if you ever write something new.
Hugs to you!
Guest chapter 160 . 2/13/2014
This one is indeed overlong and a bit slow in pacing but I enjoyed reading it all the same because it's different. Music Town is utopian in many respects but making it more realistic wouldn't have added much to the story as a whole as there's already plenty of conflicts and problems both personal and political.

It's so easy to see violence as the major solution to conflict because it's everywhere in our popular culture, and action is exciting to watch and read when it isn't real, so thanks for giving me some serious food for thought on non-violent solutions. I will try to keep this in mind when I create original works in the future because it's all too easy to fall into the trap of glorified violence.

I thought of something in regards to that last letter they wrote to Hinata: they'll probably arrive in Konoha before the letter does. As there seem to be no vehicles or horses in the ninja countries, and hawks can only carry small messages, the postal service will have to be on foot with wagons and quite possibly tag along with merchants going the same way. Adding the fact that all their letters take a detour through Suna and has to be smuggled I see no plausible way the letter would arrive faster than a pair of ninjas in a hurry even with a few days head start. Just an observation I made that amused me.

Another thing I've thought about as I slowly digested this story is that you never give any OCs a name, and what an astonishingly brilliant decision this is. Because while no individual names make them seem less important than they really are it also prevents confusion of who's who and also makes sure they stay on the sidelines and don't steal the spotlight from Naruto and Sasuke. I've never seen someone do this in a long story before and not to the extent you are, nevermind that your story is exceptionally long. More food for thought for me to think about and maybe try out myself sometime.

Oh, and the occassional mention/discussion of European Song Contest was a lovely touch and made me smile every time. It is a pretty odd event if you look at it with some distance

As much as I would've liked to see you include the revolution in Konoha I understand why you didn't. It's my belief everything turns out for the better though I'm not sure if Naruto should be made Hokage at seventeen even if he's grown a lot in the six months he spent in Music Town... oh well, it's just speculation anyhow. Gaara shouldered the responsibility just fine at an earlier age even considering he's more thoughtful and mature than Naruto is.

Thank you for writing this story, I'm sure I'll read it again sometime
leneypoo chapter 109 . 11/19/2013
Wow Sasuke, that's a breakthrough. But at the same time I'm mad at him for monopolizing the interview. There's a difference between being a visible source of support and being a crutch. It looks like Naruto is just this vapid good looking kid with an inheritance and Sasuke is the real voice. I don't like it, but I guess it doesn't really who it comes from b/c this ideal is not one meant for self-aggrandizement (despite Naruto's goal to be Hokage).
