Bittersweet really does sum up this story quite well. And I agree with you on seeing why NaruHina is so popular, but not necessarily agreeing with it. A lot of fans support pairings for how well they'd go together, i.e. the whole Yin and Yang thing. And I'm not saying that that stuff's not important, but you have to look at chemistry between the couple, too. To me, cute as NaruHina is, it has no chemistry simply for the fact that Naruto just does not feel the same way about Hinata and I honestly don't think he ever will. He loves her, but he's not in love with her. That's a distinction that very few people have managed to discern, let alone accurately portray in a story. Yet you have, and it was very well done.

Before I go on a rant about my own beliefs, I might as well comment on the story, should I not?

First things first, marvelous writing and no sorts of grammar mistakes that I'm aware of. Hmm not sure what else to comment on a one-shot

Anyway, 'The Truth' my friend doesn't only hurt at times, but it can also set you free. Depends on the occasion of course. Now, you may wonder as well why does a pairing that's probably not going to happen and doesn't have a future so popular?

Simple; Yin and Yang, opossites attract etc etc. People see NaruHina in that way. Both are opposites, so both can learn from each other. I mean, what is there for Naruto to learn from Sakura? How to use the first-aid kit when she pummels him to the ground?

The blue-haired girl, while being who she is, has more to offer. For example, Naruto could might as well learn how to behave at times, how to be more patient, how to actually think.

NaruSaku... well they are way to similar for me, and I despide it for a very real reason: It reminds me of me and my sister. Dude, that's exactly how I behave with my sibling, though I never pummel her that hard xD

Hinata could as well learn lots from Naruto. How to be more confident, how to speak her mind, how to stand up. Of course, this already happens since she has him as an idol, but closer contact would make it far more powerful.

You say ShinoxHina is more likely. Heh, for what? Because Shino is a quiet guy like her? My friend, if this was to happen, it would be the most boring pairing ever. Remember; Shino only talks when he has to, really. Can you imagine them on a date?

Of course, I can't say that Sakura couldn't be softer around Naruto, but her overall behavior indicates otherwise so I have my own reasons to hate the pairing

Well, that's only one reason I love NaruHina: They're fitting for each other, two halves that can make something more than one.

And about Naruto not able to see her in that light... the way he describes her even in your fanfic indicates something and that is; Feelings change mate. We don't choose who we love, but we always have our reasons to. And knowing Naruto, being the good guy he is, even if he didn't feel the same way about her, he would give her a chance (I'm talking about manga). For as I said, feelings change.

Oh, and if you think I went on a rant here, believe me, I held myself back. I don't want to flame, I'm not that stupid, even though it could give me a speck of satisfaction to let my rampaging side take a part here. I'm here to speak my mind as opposing to the opinions of others. Hardly have I ever found someone who could actually argue with me on such matters...

So you say they could never be together because there personalitys are so diffent. Besides the fact that there only real diffrence is that one's loud and the other's quite. If antying Having two loud people together (Naruto Sakura) and two quite people (Hinata Shino)is even worse. Just think two loud people will always be voicing there opinions leading them to argue all the time thre goes that relationship. Shino and Hinata is just redicoulous Shino only speaks when necessary (i dont know about you but dating someone that rarley ever talked would drive me up the walls.) Most importanlty his clan is pretty much incable of love they subsitute there emotions for logical thinking, the only reason they marry is to produce offspring. Do you think Hinata would want to marry some one simply to breed? I doubt it she's out for love, face it aburames are ment to marry other aburames. Furthermore when you really think about it Naruto and Hinata aren't all that diffrenet they both know true loneliness, they both push themselves harder than any one else, They both are looking for acceptance, and people to see them for who they truly are, and they have the same nindo (hehe.) the list goes on, but i just wanted you to see them in a new light. Fill free to keep the way you view them, I dont mind when people dont agree with a HinNaru pairing, everyone is free to have thre own opinion. I guess we will have to wait for the end of the series to see if what happens.

I don't like any of those pairings myself.(shinoxhina, naruxsaku, or naruxhina) I recently found that I like KimixHina as a pairing. It's just I don't know cute and forbiden! That's the best kind!

You should read my KimixHinata Fanfic! (Naruto breaks her heart but I like the way you did yours better. Mine is kinda terrible next to this!)
