This story is AWESOME! It's my favourite FF8 fic of all time

I just finished this and.. wow. I've read my fair share of Seiftis fics and this is by far one of my top favourites - I love how refreshing you've made the canon part of the story, especially since most Seiftis fics out there focus on redemption (not that it's bad, just that it's the norm). Yours was an absolute breath of fresh air and frankly, after reading it and realising its possibility and potential, was how I hoped things would've turned out in the end. Thank you so much for this masterpiece - I enjoyed every minute spent on it and it's something I'll definitely be rereading in the future. I loved your plot, your characterisation, your descriptions.. everything. Beautiful! You've got something really good going for you here. Now on to the sequel!

This work is one of my favourites irrespective of fandoms. I tend to go through phases where I binge FanFics, and this never fails to be one of the works that I read. This is a testament to your writing ability, the way you develop characters; as well as the narrative you weave.

Since I first read this work it has been my HEADcanon when approaching the FFVIII Universe. I now cannot play the game without this being a part of it. So thank you and congratulations!

I've played FF8 when I was 12 and I played it again when I was 16 and now in my cp and I am 28y/o atm. The game effect and excitement on me was still the same and that's what drove me to read fanfic and after reading so many Seiftis/Quifer fanfic for few weeks, I can say that for me, this is one of the BEST! Aside for Fire and Ice by altol and Waiting for magic by MsStarlight. But all in all,your fanfic, I just wished that this GREAT fanfic of your is the true story of the game FF8. You're really a very talented and creative writer. It's so amazing how you explain and think about everything in this fanfic and relating it totally what really happens in the game without changing anything from the storyline of the game though you added some, but it is needed and what you did was great,your fanfic explained everything in the game that's left unfolded. Just WOW! I think I might stop reading now since I already found what I've been looking for. Thank you for the great work! Just a bit sad because your fanfic was really great and it deserves lot of great reviews.

I have to say, aside from the spot on characterizations and excellent overall writing, this really stands apart for being the most believable, rational and plausible method of bringing Seifer back into the fold. Really, I can't give enough praise to both premise and execution, this concept actually makes the canon story of FFVIII more believable. That's a rare talent, as most stories have tendency to add or warp canon to make the writers plot stick. It feels tacked on. This is one of a few that effectively interprets and fills in the canon storyline in a way that is more effective than it was. Great job, great read, and I'm ashamed to have taken this long to stumble on it.
