I like this story! I don't think Severus really cared about Merlin's order he was too concerned about catching Sirius as he thought he was a criminal and I don't blame him at all! Sirius tricked him and put his life in danger and everyone thought he had sold the Potters, of course Severus would think it was easy for Sirius to trick tsome children. I think Severus was angry because they made him look like a fool and a mad man even Dumbledore! I undertand he had to protect Sirius but making Severus looked like a fool was abit cruel, I felt bad for him he didn't receive any recognition. I am glad that Albus took care of him in your story I like their student-mentor son-father relationship there was not enough of it in the books as Severus's true loyality wasn't revealed until the last book and there is afew fanfictions about the prisoner of azkaban incident I hope someone will write a fanfiction about Dumbledore talking with Severus after it about his fears from werewolf and his emotions about his childhood nemeses.

I remember reading this many years ago and sought it out to remind me of those days gone past, and found I had never reviewed! I really like this - I love the attention to detail, I love how Severus actually would rather like the Order of Merlin, who wouldn’t?!, and of course I adore the AD and SS partnership portrayed here. Bravo, bravo!

I know it's been 10 years, but my god this was good and the type of stuff I'm looking for. I don't know why it took me so long to look for good HP fics, but recently, I've just needed some. And now that I'm older, I learned how much I really appreciate Severus, but equally disappointed at the lack of fics for him. But this, thank you for this, it has been quite satisfying if I do say so myself.~

Yes - he was knocked out for the best part of an hour, and the irrational rage, spitting when he spoke etc which he showed that evening are all symptoms of concussion.

It occurs to me for the first time that that business with the Order of Merlin was JKR playing mind-games. She makes the whole business of Snape being given and then not given a medal in PoA seem comic - but at the end of the series we get confirmation that he was the bravest of all.

And really, he still did a very brave thing going into the Shack to confront the two people who had nearly killed him as a boy, and whom he believed were in league with the Dark Lord and about toi kill Harry, even if he *had* got the details a little confused.

Poor Severus.

I agree that this is written very well, with Snape being in character, and really coming to life in the story. I am going to read other stories of you.

I like that one of the Weasleys was in the hospital wing at the time. Was it Ron? Did what he saw have any influence on hisfeelings? Probably not. Brat.

I doubt Severus really cared about the Order Of Merlin, though. I think his fury had more to do with Dumbledore's consistent siding with Sirius. Snape's intention had been to save Harry's life from someone who had tried to kill him as a teen-ager, someone he believed was a dangerous murderer. He had got badly injured in the process and here was Dumbledore making fun of him after having enrolled Harry's help to make Sirius escape. That would enrage anyone.

Love! This is Snape perfectly. Stubborn, sarcastic, infuriating and angry, yet he can still compose himself when he needs to. I love the relationship between he and Dumbledore. This is a great story and I would love to see more like it. Thank you.
