Naruto was super annoying in this story. He was all sad and up in his feelings because he thought Sasuke was using him for sex, but did he try to talk things out with him? Did he tell Sasuke that he wanted more from him than that? No, he didn't! He just went along with everything and then complained about it afterward. As the saying goes, nobody can use you without your permission, and Naruto gave Sasuke permission every step of the way. At the end, Naruto melodramatically decided to run away from his problems by transferring schools instead of going to Sasuke to TALK about what was bothering him! WTF. Transferring schools at the end of his senior year and leaving all his friends behind was so much better than facing Sasuke? Coward.

At the end of the fic, Sasuke has to turn into an melodramatic ass himself by using the PA system to announce to the whole school how much he wants Naruto and no, it wasn't just sex, all because Naruto would stand still long enough to talk to him about what was going on. I give Sasuke credit for trying to talk things out with Naruto before all this happened, but it's so awkward and gross that the whole school now knows they were in a friends with benefits relationship. What was the point of them initially trying to be discreet? What was the point of Sasuke being a private person who doesn't like other people to know his business? Well, now they know WAY more than they ever had the right to know.

This is a romance fic from Naruto's POV, which means the entire fic has to bend over backward to accommodate Naruto, so it doesn't matter that Sasuke just did something that would be humiliating to a person who likes his privacy (or really, humiliating to a normal person, whether or not he cares about his privacy. Who'd feel comfortable about the entire school, plus all the faculty and staff, knowing that you had a fuck buddy you were trying to get with for real?) This Naruto was so fucking insecure, and so bad at communicating, that the stunt Sasuke pulled was the ONLY way they could possibly have ended up together; otherwise, Naruto would have transferred schools in the most epic overreaction ever.
