That ending was so perfect...
It was a lovely story in every way! The scene with the lightning was really dramatic and everything, I totally loved it... and then Tom... He wasn't as much of a bastard as he is in many other stories, but you still conveyed the evilness pretty good. A lovely read!

I have to say, i'm enjoying it so far, but it is slightly reminiscent of Twilight, something i noticed in chapter three with the veil of hair. Now, as an author myself, i can see why you've done this: you evidently think that using techniques from a popular book will make your story stronger. This works as long as it isn't literally the same. So in this circumstance i'd probably write "I let my hair fall loose, casually covering my face so he would have nothing to look at"

But that's just me.

One of those ships where their mutual hatred for each other turns into love? Hmmm... We'll see how well you can pull this off.
