jkh chapter 1 . 10/16/2012
interesting story, i like the idea of sarah asking for bedtime tales
Pinfeathers chapter 1 . 2/21/2010
Very interesting, I love the interplay between Jareth as a faery and the humans, along with the insertion into history.!
marora chapter 1 . 7/6/2009
This was expertly done, I love how you weaved the begining of an old legend into Jareth's story. My father is french, and he used to tell me about Roland and charlemagne when I was a child. It's fun to hear this addition to the tale.
Aozora chapter 1 . 9/25/2008
As someone who was just reading the Song of Roland for class, let me just say that I love you so much.
RoyalPurpleDragon chapter 1 . 9/18/2008
Loved the opening first lines...epsecially Jareth's reaction at being called old XD
Subtilior chapter 1 . 9/13/2008
Oh, how cool this one-shot is! There's so much to intrigue about it - and seeing Jareth drop into a historical moment to lay a trap for well-known characters? Excellent.

One of the most intriguing parts, for me, was how you closed the flashback. At c. 750 or 60, Jareth thinks of dropping in on the Queen of the Labyrinth in Crete ... is this the same Labyrinth as he seems to be stuck in c. 1986? What on earth happened to keep him there, if so? "You catch more flies with honey," goes the saying - was he overconfident, tangling with the Queen?
Verity Kindle chapter 1 . 9/12/2008
That was cool! I really enjoyed the historical-fiction aspect of this! Well written as well. I never liked Roland much- and Jareth tripped him up so neatly!
Dragonzair chapter 1 . 9/12/2008
Wow.

First off, love that small Sarah cameo.

Second, there is only a select few well-known authors who can make me drool while reading about the food they've describe. You have managed that. Don't ask why. But it's kinda like how, when you're watching a movie or something, and people are eating the simplest of food yet they look so gorgeously delicious?

Yeah. And I have never tasted rabbit in my whole life, yet I still felt hungry. So props to you for that. XD

Third, I have utmost respect for fanfic writers who mix historical fact with fiction, and pull it off perfectly. Which you just did XD I love the way you write, too :D

I can imagine it were things like this that Jareth did that may have possibly caused someone to punish him to be a Goblin King. But that's just one of the possibilities in my head :D Ahahah. Anyway. Sorry if this was too long. I hope you write more Labyrinth one-shots :3 I love those the most.
notwritten chapter 1 . 9/11/2008
