I can't help but get a Twilightesk vibe from this. So self-insert bland girl meets boy with superpowers and they instantly fall in love. Yeah, sounds like something someone who has never been in a relationship would write. I'd guess the writer age to be around 14 years old. I could be wrong, but that's just the feeling I get from the quality here. It was only mildly interesting, and characters do not seem to act like normal human beings. You've essentially been forced into a relationship with this guy, as the whole, 'you literally die without a fix' thing doesn't leave many options should they not get along with each other. She has to stay with him to survive, and he has to stay with her to not have the death of an innocent on his conscious. The dialogue was awkward and very, very cheesy, much like the rest of the story. Spelling and grammar were good though. It seems like you bothered to proofread, so good on you for that.
Now, this thing is over a decade old, so it's very possible that you've improved since then. Hell, I remember the totally corniness of the love letters I wrote ten years ago to my first girlfriend. Huh, it really has been that long… Anyway, I'll look at some of the other stories you have if they catch my interest. Let's see if the follow-up is any better.

Well, that was weird haha! Not necessarily in a bad way. The whole thing with the breaths had me scratching my head half the time, but it's great for originality. I like that you didn't make their defining moment a kiss either. The way things panned out were cuter, even though Brendan came off as like such a weirdo. He and May fit together somehow. Good work.
