Mistress Charon chapter 1 . 3/25/2015
I really loved this story. Your imagery and characterizations were spot on. I loved your word choices, all in all, it was a very beautifully written one shot. I especially loved the ending! It was so sweet! Well done! :3
Elisabeth chapter 1 . 10/18/2014
Wow, absolutely stunning vignettes.

I think you got the characters down really well and I love your flare for description, so I appreciate that you can bring to life interactions between Y and K so steeped in such a vivid world. I also like when relationship development is slow but poignant, and brings about a satisfactory and logical result with believable characters, I think you did this as well.
Keep up the good work! :)
KShadeslady chapter 1 . 6/18/2013
This was very beautifully done. Thank you for such a lovely tale. I adored Keiki too. The Twelve Kingdoms was the first anime I ever watched, so I judge all the others by it.
wiiTneSs chapter 1 . 6/16/2013

Inali Grimalkin chapter 1 . 4/18/2011
A very sweet story, tender and romantic, but without taking them out of character. I liked it very much and made me smile - good job. The part with him committing her name to memory was my favourite.
FireEdge chapter 1 . 1/30/2011
This totally just killed me with its brilliance. I absolutely loved this. The premise behind it was very believable, and I can definitely see Keiki thinking like that-he is always seen as the teacher, and one has to wonder, how will he behave when Youko is finally self-proficient?

Oh, and I adored those little things Keiki sneaks in (I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE KEIKI). For someone who is as stoic as he is, it makes sense that he would convey all of his feelings through such unobtrusive actions. They definitely made me go "aww" since they totally remind me of those little things that kids do in regard to their crushes. Too cute.

Another thing I really enjoyed with this story is the little asides and details that you include. Such as the bit about Keiki's calligraphy brushes. They really add another layer of depth to the story-verse and bring everything to life.

The only thing that I found confusing was the jumping between past and present. While you soon figure out which time the scene is in, I feel as if it might've helped if the past was written in italics, but then again that's a very stylistic thing with me. Still, it certainly didn't detract from the story, and I loved it to bits and pieces and this is definitely one of my favourite Twelve Kingdom pieces.

P.S. Keiki can DEFINITELY read to me anytime.
Cuna999 chapter 1 . 1/8/2011
So sweet! It's a very gentle, strengthening relationship. I love it~

Now that I think about it, I never actually thought about Keiki's other name; Enki had one, so did Taiki...and Hanri, too...hm. Poor Keiki. :( I do wonder what Youko will name him, though, or if she will in the novels...

Beautiful fanfic! I love Youko/Keiki~
Larethiana chapter 1 . 1/6/2011
Your story is perfect...In character and smooth! the way you describe it... it was a delicious piece of reading! Thank you for sharing your imagination like that!

PS: I like Keiki' seiyuu voice too!

Wolfic chapter 1 . 5/26/2010
Beautiful. The way this fic is written is just beautiful. That coupled with the fact that this is a Yoko/Keiki fic only makes it better.

Thank you for writing this.
obasan45 chapter 1 . 1/27/2010
WOW! WOW! So sweet! Just luv your Keiki. And this naming Keiki thing - I've always felt sorry for Keiki that his master didn't name him, especially as in an Enki voice-over section of the anime, Enki said in passing that some Ou (can't remember which) loved his kirin enough to name him. Ouch. If that's the generally-held idea in that world, then Keiki must really feel it that Youko didn't name him. So, thank you for this naming story! And the her-name-on-the-inside-and-his-name-on-the-outside thing, oh, I can just die!(I didn't die, but I did cry, a little)
