Again, a great bit of dialogue and wit! You really know how to do a great job of building the romantic tension in a believable, enjoyable, in-character fashion. Your stolen moments stories feel like they would fit perfectly within the actual series. I hope you write more and often.

You got across the characters perfectly, and everything in the story fits with the rest of the show while not being repetitive.

It's a very logical way of explaining why Marian is so cold to Robin at first-it isn't just that she's angry with him for leaving or that she thinks he's a fool, but that she's afraid of letting herself go again. And the idea that he immediately disarms her and brings out her impulsive side is very appropriate.

The hairpin! Perfect. That part never made sense to me. It's not like this new, stoic Marian wouldn't have realized that the hairpin would draw attention when found, or that she's pretty much the only lady in the castle... but the old, rash-and-in-love one very well might. ;) It's very like Robin, too, to think of it and to go back for it. I also love how he makes it seem like he's just there to talk to her, despite the fact that he's really there on business (to return the hairpin). That's one of the things that's both realistic and infuriating about the show-he's an outlaw, making communication dangerous, so it only happens when there's a pressing need, even if he makes it seem that he's just there to see her.

Fantastic interpretation. Robin when he still believed that good conquered evil, and Marian when she still thought that they could work it out with the sheriff and Gisborne. You've made excellent sense out of the first episode.

This is Lovely. You have really captured Marian at this stage. She is a woman. A woman that he doesn't know. Yet he still releases the girl inside her and she hates that. Nicely done. :)

What with Robin's "wicked spells" nearly working on Marian and her rejecting him in the most unladylike manners, it was brilliant.

I could just picture the scene in my head and they were both perfectly in character... awesome fic!

The stupidity of Marian throwing a distinctive-looking jeweled hairpin (the twin of which she still had in her hair) at the guard and no one noticing it subsequently was one of the S1 errors which really bugged me. So I was pleased to see how neatly you dealt with that issue. I almost never read Robin/Marian fics but this one was so clever, well-written and sweet that I'm glad I did.

What a gem of a little story you have written. I like the idea of him coming to visit her one more time after their encounter at the castle...that he can't resist seeing her again for more flirting. It was a good balance between Marion's interior thoughts and feelings and the actual interplay between them. I especially appreciated your good vocabulary and attention to good grammar! Thanks for a fun read. I hope you write more of these Robin-Marion encounters. Thinking of the series, there are plenty of opportunities for them to meet and banter. :-) Adding you to my Author Alert!
