Reviews for Twenty Years Later |

![]() ![]() I like the 'if you ever find a painter' part the most |
![]() ![]() ![]() I first read this story over a year ago and neglected, at the time, to leave a review. Sorry about that. Very nice story. The pain of their separation is, at least partially, offset by the hope for the future. Thanks for sharing with us. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wonderful one-shot. Poignant, and while the end hints at a Happy Ending, still bitter-sweet. The dream of eventually getting hold of the impossible, of reconnecting with someone who left two decades ago. Even if its was nobody's fault, it is very hard to overcome 20 years. Tara telling Chuck to not let Sarah get away this time is not as far-fetched as it seems first; stranger things happened. The part where he remembers that moment possibly would have been even stronger when Chuck had had a flashback, back to the sickbed and Tara and her actually speaking; or maybe not and I like it just as it is. I know the author has left long ago, but this is a small masterpiece. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow that was sad but very hopeful and very well written. Thanks! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Have to add this to my favorites. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was a sweet story. Good job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Just lovely, if sad too. |
![]() ![]() ![]() So... not usually a big fan of time gaps like this...and some of the characterizations of Sarah are really far-fetched with her canon character. However, this story is very touching and I enjoyed it. 20 years is a long time to think about what ifs, even if they did move on with their lives. Very, very well written. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Sad and sweet. thanks. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really enjoyed this, up until the revelation that Sarah painted Tara and Tara's dying message of "be with Sarah". Seems too hokey and contrived and manufactured to get to the conclusion you wanted. But eh, fuck it. This was free, right? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, the last review was nearly two years ago, so I'm a bit late. Still, I felt the need to review. What a beautiful story this was. Sad because of the 20 years that they could have been together, but ultimately uplifting that they've found each other again. Thank you so much for writing this. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice, but melancholy. Sad that hindsight is 20:20. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Tears. Just tears. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really, really good. I actually cried at the end. Great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful touching story. The sadness of life's choices and one of the great central themes of Chuck, redemption. Beautifully done. |
