I mean I shouldn’t have read this at all like you haven’t updated in ages but the summary sucked me in like idk man idk,,like,,i need to breathe wow,, I read some reviews to get spoiled before I read this, because I like some amount of spoilers like that and yeah, I thought I’d be ready for the inevitable Fugaku ruining everything and all, like hell I’d been lowkey reminding myself throughout all the other cute and fluffy chapters that things were gonna go downhill realsoon and yeah I thought I’d be ready for all the heartbreak and everything but when it really did happen, like the moment Fugaku saw them I was like ‘oh fuck no’ as if I hadn’t known it would happen eventually and now after that last chapter, the last chapter I spent reading through with my heart slowly breaking into pieces like I don’t even know how to describe the pain and hurt I feel for Sasuke and then mentally screaming for Itachi to take Sasuke and get the hell out of there,
yeah I’m crying nowor maybe even orochimaru can suddenly appear and so Sasuke could escape seriously like I don’t even care who it is, I just hope he ends up happy and that he doesn’t have to deal with fugaku’s ‘justified abuse’ or whatever bullshit that man tells himself, like really ugh idk this review ended up being very not coherent because I’m all emo, you’ve successfully made me emo... emo like this has happened right in front of my eyes type emo like I’m trying hard not to sob and wheeze rn because my bro’s here and he would prolly judge me very hard if I’m crying at my phone all of sudden lmao ugh fuck him too :,yeah so I’m literally heart broken after the last chapter it was like a slap to my face because I was all chill thinking ‘yeah I know this is gonna happen and might as well enjoy all this because It won’t be so bad if I knew shit was gonna go downhill ha’ and yeaah that was NOT what happened at all in the end lol and yeah I’m just dropping by to let you know I think that’s so fucking awesome! like your writing is that amazing! It was so well written about the differences between Japanese and American culture, and I think this is the only fic I know starting with Hippie Naruto! Which is very refreshing and minato and Kushina were hilarious lol, the flow and feels and everything etc,Like everything was just so great, I mean I didn’t dig Naruto and his sexual harassment thing earlier but his character developed out so well,and so did Sasuke, and idk what else to say anymore except that if you ever come back or something I hope you update this because this story is literally going to my top fav narusasu fics of all time and I just know I won’t be forgetting this fic any time soon no shit lol and if not, I still wanna thank you for writing and sharing this amazing fic! *sends you love*

This is such an incredibly beautiful, well-written and nuanced story. I literally teared up reading this chapter. I hope you'll update soon; this story is too good to be forgotten or set aside.

I have been waiting and watching and rereading this beautiful roller coaster but please tell me you have given up on it completely

I've been enjoying the depth of research into Japanese culture and practicalities up to this point, was kind of amused by Naruto's glaringly American interpretation of everything, and loved the creative characterisations of Naruto & Sasuke and all the associated fun until this one glaring issue in this chapter.
That is - the comment about Japanese women being the "antithesis of fierce". If it's just Naruto being an unreliable narrator as per usual, then it's just another hilarious example of his kooky POV. If it's meant to be a neutral comment (which is how it comes off, being slotted in two pretty neutral statements about what Kushina and Minato are doing, so if it's intended to be the former then maybe rework that paragraph a little so it has more of Naruto's 'hippie voice' in it), then it comes off as a either a hiccup in your research or another poor interpretation of the Japanese concept of "yamato nadeshiko", which can be summed up as "Silk Hiding Steel".
The ambiguity in tone leading to the second interpretation really wrecked the second half of this chapter for me, because it either makes me question the depths of your research/immersion in Japanese culture or your writing ability, both of which I had a great deal of respect for until this chapter.

Well you ended it right where the money is didn't you. Cliff-hanging for 5 years. Not nice.
