Very well done. I think you're characterizations of Lilly and Stillman are spot on. The subtle interaction between them was beautifully portrayed. A lovely, understated and warm story. A great read on a cold and rainy day.

Being a fan of the mentor/disciple father/daughter Stillman-Lilly relationship, I was bound to love it. This is so Lilly to sneak personal info out of Boss (Grandpa Stillman, lol). Happy!Stillman is unfortunately too rare and totally contagious :-)

Another beautifully written piece! I love the Stillman-Lilly relationship, and you've captured it perfectly! She really is the only one who could get away with asking him personal questions, and she does it in a way that's never inappropriate. I ADORE how Stillman's so happy about his impending grandchild, and how determined he is to do it right this time. He's so sweet, and it's so sad that he has to hide how happy he is on the job. I'm glad Lilly let him express his happiness to her.

You know, if I didn't know you didn't like Lilly, I'd never guess it from reading your work. Excellent job, as always!

Loved it! I always think Stillman's sort of a dad to Lilly anyway, and this completely backed me up! They're both really private people, but there's always that underlying fatherly affection! Very nicely done, and great story!
