Oh, good heavens, Harry. Was that entirely necessary? Talk about dramatic exits to cause maximal panic! I feel bad for Snape. He's been distracted working overtime on this ill-fated potion (though let's be honest, he likes that sort of challenge), he hasn't the expertise or time resources to address Harry's complex needs (possibly, in fact, using that potions project to avoid dealing too much with Harry), and now Harry's walked out with some unknown plan for a homicide-suicide. Harry's been able to bond with Snape enough that he'll write to him, but can't trust anyone enough to risk having options taken away.

This is one of my favorite fics ever. The relationships, the plot, the characterization... everything.
