I was on pins and needles there. Phew! This should get interesting. Will everyone accept Zim as the Tallest and obey him or will there be a rebellion now that he's killed Pur? I'm intrigued.

Okay, first off, I just wanna correct something the site apparently did to my original review. It seems the ending was cut off at certain points, making it nonsensical and weird. I apologize about that. I have no idea what happened. In essence, I was saying that I'd like to help if need be and that I hope you take good care of yourself.

Anyway, on to my actual review...

Thank you for updating. I almost leapt outta my seat when I saw the update notification in my inbox. :)

While I can see why Zim and Dib are anxious about the promotion, I still think it could go well as long as it's accepted by other Irken. Doubtful, though. Zim was a screw up and was left to die on earth as a punishment. Hopefully it'll be explained in your future chapters as to why the Control Brains thought the promotion was a good idea, given Zim's track record. If Zim is gonna be a Tallest, I assume he'll have the right to ask the Control Brains questions, yes? Still, if Zim plays his cards right, he can manipulate the system in order to force everyone to leave. But that does leave the conundrum of where Zim will end up. As a Tallest, he'd probably be forced to stay with his own kind, which means leaving Dib or, maybe, taking him with them. But that would ultimately lead to even more problems and secrets. Dib would crack.

Well that was depressing to write, lol. Hopefully I'm wrong and things go a bit smoother for our boys. They deserve their happy ending considering all the hell they've been through.

First off, I can only imagine what it's been like for you to continue keeping this fic alive all these years. What with work, school, and depression. I truly and sincerely hope you're doing better and healing on your own terms. Please remember that your well being is more important than a story.

On to the fic itself ... Wow... Just wow...

It's so damn good! I was honestly hesitant to start it given the 32 chapters, but I'm so glad I did. This is such a well written and well thought out story. You include important details without it feeling like it's dragging. The entire story has kept me on the edge of my seat. It's intense and engaging. It's one of those stories that you can't predict the end of, and I love that. Though I do admit it keeps me worried for everyone. I'm honestly more worried about Dib's mental health. He has good reason to worry, but he's definitely taking it too far. He should trust Zim more. Worrying about being betrayed by the person he's been with for six years will only lead to further distrust and issues in the relationship. Zim has shown that he's in this for the long run.

Whether that's what you have planned or not, I'm just expressing my opinion on the current state of things.I do hope there's a happy ending, but I'm aware that the nature of your fic dictates that there might be more carnage. I just hope it's not Zim or Dib. Gaz and Christie are ready to die for their cause and, while I hope that doesn't happen, I've mentally prepared myself for it if it does. Not that I wouldn't shed tears, mind you. I'm glad Red is dead. Even with all the complications, it should make things easier for our heroes. Purple is an idiot, but he'll still be pissed his boyfr-... I mean, co-leader is dead.

Anyway, this review could go on longer, but I'll stop here. Just know that your fic is amazing and I look forward to more developments, if you so choose. If you ever need a helping hand, especially in times of hardship or stress, I'd be more than willing to lend care of yourself, hun.

No matter how long you take to update again, but please continue, I need to know what will happen, will zim get the power to his head ?, what will happen when dib finds out about his father's death? Will dib know that it was zim who killed him?
