Trust Ryan to find a way to use his father's death for his own purposes. Ha! Got to love him. The final image of him basking in Gloria's arms, revealing in her sympathy is golden.

I'm a sucker for Ryan/Gloria stories so yay! But also, this was just well written and I think it captured the cunning nature of Ryan so well. It's very much in his character to use the death of someone (his father) to get what he wants. Also, your assessment of how he views Gloria, especially in regard to Preston's death, is how I saw his character viewing hers on the show. Excellent job. I hope you write more. It was enjoyable to read.

As a huge Ryan O'Reily fan, I was a little shaken up by such a sinister interpretation of the character. However, the story is BRILLIANT. You capture Ryan's signature cunning so well it's a little spooky. Even though I don't see him as being this monstrous, the story is so interesting. Job very well done!
