Okay, let me get this straight. Since Kagome purified the jewel, it ceased to exist, thus erasing Kagome's timeline as the jewel never appeared in her body. But, this Shikon Jewel was the one pulled out of Kagome's body, so it disappearing should have no affect on the timeline, as it's a future version of the jewel that led to Kagome's first trip back in time. If it had been the jewel that would have been cremated with Kikyo, then it would make sense. But, the story takes place long after that cremation, so this isn't possible.

However, you could be saying that the Shikon Jewel was deleted from time, and thus never existed, which would explain Kagome's timeline vanishing. But, this would mean that all of Kagome's adventures in the past also never happened. In fact, the whole world should have changed drastically. Since the jewel was never created, the demons may have defeated Midoriko and consumed the world. However, it's possible that Kyuubi might have stepped in at some point, so it's hard to say what would have happened in that regard.

But, since the jewel never existed, Kikyo never becomes its guardian. Inuyasha also never makes attempts to get the jewel, since it never existed. Thus, Inuyasha and Kikyo never meet. Thus, the events leading to Inuyasha getting sealed to the tree never happen. Inuyasha and Kikyo probably had very different lives in this new timeline. Also since Kagome never travels back in time, and never meets Inuyasha, all of the adventures surrounding the jewel shards never happened, which means Naruto was never brought forward in time.

Basically, going by that explanation, the entire group at Konoha should have vanished. In the new timeline, Naruto probably committed suicide, Kagome lived a normal life in her time, Sango might also be dead, or still alive with the other demon slayers. (Since Naraku was behind what happened to the demon slayers, it's hard to say if that would still occur.) Rin would be dead, as Sesshomaru never met her and thus never saved her with the Tenseiga. Naraku would be alive. I can't say for sure where everyone else is in the new timeline, but any character development that happened after they met Kagome never happened.

In the end, the people in the new timeline would be left with the mystery of an ancient village that was magically restored.

Yeah, I've pretty much destroyed your way of cutting Kagome off from her time. I understand why you wanted to do it and I agree with it. Being able to look into the future to see what effects they are having on it would be lame. However, there are other ways you could have accomplished this. Maybe look into what causes the well to have the power to traverse time. No explanation has ever been given for why the well can transport anyone through time. For all we know, the well is sentient.

Regardless, your explanation doesn't work for me.

I loved the Original story. And so far you seem to be following it up in a pretty good way, the flea idea is pretty cool, I like it, it could be really awesome depending on the way you go about it. I'm mostly curious with the Iga clan you put here, are they going to pretty much the opposing faction of Kohona, or allies? I know you won't ruin the story but could give the fans a small appetizer. Definitely be following along with it, keep up the good work.

Awesome, I hope you update this story again as I can't wait to see the return of lord Orochimaru. He is a far more impressive opponent than naraku

I have noticed that you have not updated in awhile. I am very glad there is a sequel in the works to a really great story line. I just wish there were more updates. Anyway Rin is the only one mentioned that has the ability to learn the ninja arts so far. Will there be others from Keade's village or people along the way? I would love to see that the foreshadowing of a relationship with Naruto and Kyuubi that the other auther had continue in this story line and if not Kyuubi the Kagura. Great idea with the flea gossip network. I am on pins and neddles waiting for the next update so hurry soon. I know how hard it is to write a good story (have one of my own in the works for a year now) so take your time though and make it good.

I was majorly immpressed by LD 1449's prequel to this story. I am eagerly looking forward to reading this sequel and seeing how it turns out. It looks really good already and I can't wait to read more :) Good luck and great job so far qtar1984!
