It's crazy that the only time they are able to be open with each other is when one or the other is badly injured or something. But enough comes out then that Sam or Dean are able to more fully understand what the other is going through and has gone through. For them. Sam's realization about Chris' being "bribed" and how young Dean really was was incredible to watch unfold. Beautiful word choices. Really made an impact. |

So many great things about it - Drugged/hurt Dean (always a favorite), Caring Sam ("like he passed a test but his prize was an out-of-it brother"), Drugged/vulnerable Dean (another favorite!), and Sam's realization that Dean bribed someone at Stanford to be an informant on Sam!
