Kamillia chapter 14 . 5/19
Great story! I love how Harry instigated all the politics and interviews, but also wasn't OP.

He let the governments take care of a lot of things instead of doing it ALL himself. The Americans guided him, the Angolans carried out the ICW voting, and the French ultimatly took down Voldemort. Simply put, you wrote him as a major player, the catalyst, but not a political mastermind. Just a 14 year old boy, a smart one too, but not the ultimate savior. Just... human.

You wrote him with a realistic thought process and character development to boot.

When he ran he was afraid and his first instinct was to get Sirius to help, this shows a more childish innocence.

He didn't want to be suspicious of his friends but knew that he had to. Harry also felt shocked and sick at the slander Dumbledore and the teachers were putting him through, yet he didn't let it get to him. His previous plans went down the drain (the one he scribbled onto a napkin) but instead of wallowing he started looking for a solution instead. This shows a changing mindset.

By the end Harry clearly has grown a lot as a person. He's rooted out who can be trusted in his life, he's played a major roll in taking down the curroption in Britain, he's ready to begin a new life. This acceptance of what's happened, and what he wants to do with his life, shows a great deal of maturity.

And boy am I glad this didn't end up with Ron bashing and a complete excuse of Hermione's bs. I was absolutely delighted! Normally everyone just goes after Ron as this jealous, piggish, moron. And Hermione is basically a saint.

But that's hardly fair. Ron may have his issues, but no more than any other average teenage boy. And Hermione, while not terrible, isn't exactly foolproof. Her devout belief in authority is really toxic. It always bugs me that one gets a pass while the other is drawn through the mud.

However, Dumbledore's ending felt bad. He's certainly no good guy. But having him go to prison for a crime he actually didn't commit felt hollow. The irony doesn't fit well with the rest of the story. This whole time these characters have been trying to stop the curropt British government, even using Sirius' lack of a trial as a major argument. Only to turn around and do the same.

I can only hope that Dumbedore got an actual trial and went to prison for the crimes he did commit off screen. Oh well, I can dream.

All in all, incredibly great fic!

Alan Rickman... Ok, thats a gimmee. But Ian McKellan? Why not Christopher Walken or Joe Pesci? Or Al Pacino? Any one of them would be great!
And as for the Asian Dark Lady, Lucy Liu!
Charlee56 chapter 7 . 4/22
I think that being labeled a family betrayer would have more to do with the ancient forms of accepting bread and salt and wine at a meal. It doesn't have to mean staying over and sleeping at night in the manor. Just accepting Potter family hospitality by way of the ancient forms of bread and salt and wine should be enough to trigger any ability of a spell calling on a betrayer to lose their magic. I would agree if someone would argue that the spell might be stronger working on someone who actually spent the night in a Potter household, but that wasn't the statement here.
I would further argue that Ragnok could have been felled by his violating his contract of employment that lead Gringotts into a situation where the bank itself could be compromised by Wizards for having betrayed one side or the other in such an endeavor as Malfoy and Voldemort's. I wonder if there was a room ceremony that James could have performed regarding Ragnok in this way
