I remember reading this fanfic around the time my husband and I got together at 16 and that was twelve years ago! It took me ages to find it again and I'm so happy I did, it's so nostalgic now _

I love the child like interchanges Clopin and Herli have and Herli is such a layered character! I felt the only thing that made her a Mary sue was having a pet tiger in Paris but Chester was such an integral part of how she reacted to everything around her. Other than that, she's flawed but relatable, she makes poor decisions but it's all based on her understanding of the world, her personality and raw emotions, everything she does has you thinking 'yeah, that's something Herlikin would do'. You can't help but root for her throughout! A brilliant character well done.

Have you ever read The Clan of the Cave Bear series? I felt some similarity in themes and wondered if it was something you'd taken inspiration from. If not, check it out, I'd highly recommend it :)

word's can not describe how much I love this story and the others stories with herlikin that have been written, such passion and love put into each one. Herlikin has to be my favorite OC for clopin she's so well written and so realistic, I was having difficulty finding a good Clopin and OC story as many don't have a lot of depth but this just blew me away, I often find myself coming back to reread this Master piece. I guess I'll never know what happens in your other story where the heart is but still your an amazing writer

It's my number one favorite! :D I don't think Herli is much of a Sue. I don't think she's one at all! I wish you could write more of this. How can this story have only 20 reviews? That's a crime all on it's own D: This is a magnificent story and very well-written. I swear I didn't sleep two days straight just to finish it and even right now I haven't slept yet to make sure you know how awesome I think it is :P I love your character and the fact that she isn't one of those very annoying 'Mary Sue's [to me, all OC's are]. I disagree. I don't really think Herli is much of a mary sue...she's strong willed, intelligent,not extremely actractive (she is attractive but you don't describe it every 5 seconds. She says she's nothing special.), doesn't have a particularly depressing past...

But I just love how Herli and Clopin's relationship developed. It's just amazing. I applaud you on this.

I have read your reviews and I see that some people say that they love you. Well, in all honesty, I can not say that I love you. Your story is amazing and the way you write is flawless. Unfortunately for you, I am insanely jealous of your writing ability. I usually find it difficult to read long paragraphs with o conversation in them, just descriptions but this story captivated me from the first word. You capture Clopin so well, it makes me wonder if you kidnapped him and are asking him what he would say about this or that. Very descriptive, well written and possibly the most wonderful fanfiction ever written.
