I teared up, I really did. You captured the destruction of Telos very well, and I think you did a good job with the despair Carth had to have been going through right after. The only thing I didn't get was the wafers Mical kept taking. What was the deal with that? I guess it was supposed to keep him from feeling the force, but why? All in all, I enjoyed it. 4 stars out of 5, certainly.

I know some people don't think a lot of Mical, and though i prefer Atton/Exile as a couple, i think he's a great character. I really liked how you portrayed him here - not a stupidly naive idealist, but someone who honestly, earnestly wants to do the right thing.

I thought your descriptions of the rescue of Telos was excellent and realistic, too. :)

I absolutely adore this. It ties into the KOTOR1 and KOTOR2 so well, and clears up some things about Mical (such as why on earth his base class was 'Soldier') and what he was doing with himself during the Jedi Civil War. I liked Carth's role, though there were no real surprises on that front. The focus was definitely on Mical and what he was going to do with himself now that being a Jedi was closed to him. That hint of bitterness about how the Jedi treated him was especially refreshing, since a lot of people seem to think Mical worshiped the ground the Jedi walked on when he actually had a *lot* of criticisms for how they handled things.

It's gone into my 'personal canon.' Good work!

The thing with this - as with all your stories - is that you fill up the holes in such believable ways. I love how you connect characters and events so flawlessly.

I'm anxiously awaiting a continuation of the Pawn series, but I understand writer's block. Take all the time you need - I'll be here, ready to read it, when it is written.

Wow, that was really good! You captured the characters of both Carth and Mical perfectly and made this entire thing seem believeable. Very, very well done. This is definitely going on my favourites!
