The Lion King is one of my favorite movies of all time, unfortunately, like five or six other disney movies that had sequals, my family only ever owned the second one. Go figure. But that also means I fueled my Lion King love with the Lion King II, so I pretty much know it backwards and forwards and upside-down. That said, when I saw this story I just couldn't resist, and I know you mention you didn't think this turned out very well, I liked it. A lot. You just can't fit a lot into a ninety minute movie, but it's clear from what we do see that Kovu is a very opinionated little rebel-cub. I can just imagine this little scene slipped into the movie to give a little more insight to the views and reasoning that Kovu grew up around. The end was a little rushed, I think Kiara's thoughts after she leaves Kovu could be explained a little more, but overall I really enjoyed reading your added scene.
