Hey, I'm five/six years in the future from all of you other reviewers, but if any of you have a time machine, hi.
I finished the Kanon 2006 anime two years (?) ago, and that was the closest anime has come to making me cry. The only other thing that's done that was Doctor Who, once. And I have no idea how the crud you made this piece of amazingness. Wah.

Being partial to the Makoto/Yuichi pairing in Kanon I found this fic heartwarming and nice. It was interesting that you made two alternate outcomes of the end here, but seeing that Kanon was born out of a visual novel where choices made decides the outcome, I can guess the reason behind it.

oh, both endings are so good! i like the first one better, but the second one is just as amazing...thank you for recommending.

Makoto’s death was one of the tearful moments for me last year (one year ago exactly). Yuuichi really suffered a lot after Makoto’s departure, especially when they’re spending their last minutes together. The wedding ceremony was cute, watching Makoto crying made me feel something very painful inside of me, a nostalgic memory from years ago. She gave everything for him, for a brief moment of happiness.

Another good work.

How in the hell did Makoto become THIS popular over here at I swear over two-thirds of the fanfics in this section deal with a YuuichiMakoto relationship! And Makoto wasn't even the main focus of the overall series!

No, all kidding aside, I love your fanfic. It makes perfect sense; the plotline is possible because you take it directly from the show. It also makes sense what Yuuichi would have to promise all the foxes, given Makoto's obsession with certain foods.

But what about the original Makoto Sawatari? Did you WATCH those episodes later in the series, where we find out why Yuuichi named the original fox Makoto Sawatari? There's a real-life woman with that name who used to live next-door to Yuuichi, and Yuuichi had a crush on her and used to talk to his pet fox about it as a child. How is the original Makoto Sawatari going to take a young girl running around with her name now that Yuuichi's love is alive again?
