was sure of this story, but as I began to read it, I felt the spell of a good story unwinding, and when I got to the bottom I wanted more. So is there another chapter...or two...

what about the people who clean around the sgc or perhaps who have to repair the main room after the SG1 dogg the bullets coming through the gate!

I thought I would take a moment to say thank you for a very nice and meaningful story. I think most of us tend to demean our contributions to others. I know that for years I would say, I just pay claims. I'm just a claim adjuster. Now, in my ninenth year of doing this, I realize that I actually perform a service that is needed. Just like Master Seargent Betty, my work allows others to concentrate on and perform their work. And while we may feel like our contribution is small in comparison, without our contribution, their jobs would be harder, and sometimes impossible. Just because we are "support" staff, that dosen't make our jobs any less important. So, once again, thank you for this glimpse into the support staff of the SGC. I hope to see more of Betty, and the other unsung heroes at the SGC. I also liked this glimpse of Sam. I think this story rang true. I look forward to more glimpses into the lives of Unsung Heroes.

Wow! This brought tears to my eyes! Hathor is not my favorite episode, but your story makes me rethink that. Excellent drama and pacing and your retelling the familiar was done skillfully, using just enough to set the stage for your own original story. Bravo!

I'm glad you wrote this one. It's very emotively written, and I like it. There are plenty of people that don't get any recognition in Stargate. I like how you give them lives of their own.
