I will say, you had me going on this one! I was somehow terrified that Sam was going to end up dead, even though I know you don't write death fics. This was so good, though - I think you really captured the emotion on Dean's end with this one. Honestly, your writing seems like it was pulled straight from Kripke's mind, sometimes. I love your stuff. xD

I like the way you interpreted Sam's way of killing Madison. Honestly I had never pictured him doing it that way, but I liked that one. Another sweet, brotherly love-drenched fic. It made me miss Fall though:D

ooh I loved it and by the number of reviews you got for this one shot, I'd say a lot of other people loved it too. Brilliant! I was with Dean and thinking Sam had been bitten by a werewolf so I was like, yah! when it turned out it wasn't. But then when the guy said Sam would die from the bite anyways, I was like 'crap, what's Dean going to do now?'

I LOVE watching the softer side of Dean when he deals with an injured or otherwise impaired Sammy and this fic certainly delievered. Nice tie in to what happened in Heart!

Great story, can't believe I've only just found it! Although I'm not American it was the perfect Thanksgiving story, you had the brothers emotions pitched perfectly, Dean torn apart at the thought of having to kill his little brother and Sam desperate to ease Dean's pain for him to do what he had to do! Great twist that it was not a werewolf and Dean need not shoot Sam, and loved the untested remedy for the otherwise fatal bite that Dean brewed up and tenderly treated Sam with!

Sam smiled, looking at Dean with that look, the all-knowing-Sam look, the look that Dean knew saw right through everything, right through every façade, every smart remark and could see right into his heart at times. Dean looked at Sam and for a minute let his guard down, and let his brother see him, without pretense, without any defense, just for a minute, but he let it happen. Dean looked into his brother’s eyes and Sam was open, unguarded, too. Words not needed. Just for a moment, but it was enough.

That paragraph was beautiful and summed up the love and unspoken emotions between the boys perfectly! And, of course, the perfect ending complete with "jerk" and "bitch", the Winchester version of "I love you brother"!
