Very good story - very moving. You describe the way he felt about Vesper really well. Just one small thing I noticed:

"He relieved them every time he closed his eyes" - I think, judging by the rest of the sentence, perhaps you mean, "relived"? Of course it's not a problem, you only missed out one letter - but I just thought I'd point it out!

Once again though, a very good portrayal of his emotions after Vesper's death. Great job!
