While playing the game, I couldn't take the characters as seriously as I would on other games. I blame Sora and the Disneys for that.
But reading the reports spread throughout the game, KH really have that ammount of dark touch to it which makes me keep playing (or watch, I don't have every consoles).
Sometimes, when I read and reread the reports until I finally understand what exactly is being stated there, I got a shudder as the gears in my mind began to rotate.
I get the same wonderful feeling from your works.

This is still among my all time favorite kh one shots. You play Demyx and Luxord's personalities off so well, not to mention the little mind games and clue melded into the story. Humorous, wistful, and poignant at different turns.

I love all of Demyx's little lines ("Even wind-up music boxes can still play.") and observations ("People would kill to get the opportunities we get each day...but none of it matters to people like us."). A lot of authors ignore the hidden depths of his character and just portray his surface personality that he crafted, all hyperactive and empty-headed, so these glimpses makes me really happy. And magnificent, catty Luxord, carefully balancing his words and weaving them to entrancing stories! I find it interesting that even though the story is from Luxord's perspective, we get more backstory from Demyx than the former (and all because of four little words. Curses!).

(Was Demyx hurt from being separated from his family? That's what I interpreted from him helping the lost dinosaur.)

And the ending! Nice plot twist, hiding the card out of time. It's interesting that when Demyx brushed the table where the card was lying that the surface blurred like ink. A hidden quirk?

Ha! I think I got the references to three separate worlds over the course of the story- Samurai Champloo with the field of sunflowers, The Flight of Dragons in the Four Realms, and the Land Before Time in the Great Valley. I'm iffy about the first though.

Okay, I'm totally rambling, but I absolutely love this story, and it's high time I slither out of the woodworks and post a review saying so!

I giggled uncontrollably at your reference to the Land Before Time. You are my favorite author on this site, hands-down.

He kept it Out of Time, that devious cad. Impressive, as Lux is my favorite of all the Org. members for his cunning and overall air of omniscience. You depicted him well, in a manner most suiting his style.

I love this story! It's real good. All the interactions and characterizations were great. All those references took me forever to catch, and I had to reread everything more than once to get it. To tell the truth, I didn't get the ending bit until my sister told me. The story was great fun to read. Thank you very much!

This is probably one of my favorite oneshots of yours. Demyx and Luxord are perfect to cat together, their identities clashing and cohering with each other seamlessly. Luxord's world is both a magical one and a logical one, and so interesting to learn about. I wonder at the reference to the Suicide King, though. I understand he symbolized Xemnas at one point, but as for the location of the card... Hmm. Fascinating storytelling.
