Very sweet! This fic got better with each chapter, I enjoyed it a lot. I am looking forward to those side fics!
Last chapter was nice, heartfelt and it seemed very finished- early on, when you avoided most actual dilogue the fic seemed unfinished, more like notes you'd use while writting. But you moved past that and finished strong.

Here the story telling method works fine. When you have two characters together you should back off it a bit and let them tell eachother what they are thinking in their own words.
This is haunting, "why isn't he here?" Bravo

I was hooked by chapter one. I didn't mind the narrative story telling method until this chapter. It doesn't feel right here, more dialogue is needed for sure.
Loved the part about worshiping the alter, but I think their first encounter should have ended there. Or does Gai keep a jar of lube in his pocket, 'cause I can't see Lee owning that yet.

This story was absolutely phenomenal, you should be proud of yourself for having made such an amazing story! I am so impressed by your writing and how well you were able to capture the essence of each of the characters, you had me hooked from chapter 1!

It is a shame that you haven't been active on this website since 2008 though, so I'm not sure if you'll even be able to read this review. If you do, I'd love to come in contact with you, so I can continue praising you for having created such a heart jerking story.

This is probably the first and last Yaoi story I'd ever like. The insights on Gai are quite... er, insightful. Gai has always been my favourite Jounin.

Really, aside from all the gay stuff, this story is pretty damn good. I'm not homophobic or anything, but had they been opposite genders, I would proclaim this as the single greatest Gai story ever.

The student-teacher relationship angle is expounded upon nicely, as well as the relationship between Gai and Kakashi. It's very refreshing to read something more than mindless smut now and again.

This fic was great. I liked it. :)

I've read this story so many times since I originally found it a year or so ago. Hell, I don't even follow Naruto anymore, but this fic is beautiful and wonderful. You should be proud you've written something so amazing. It's haunting how you've written Gai and I love it.
