 VLH5589 chapter 1 . 11/18/2012 I read this ages ago and loved it. Then I committed the sin of not reviewing it. First, I want to say that Cortana's voice and struggle is wonderfully conveyed. It is a great glimpse into her mind and existence. More importantly, I wish to tell you how this story has stayed with me. It is the first story to come to mind when I think of the MCxC relationship. It is a brilliant piece of work and still moves me. |

| The Lazy Canadian chapter 1 . 10/6/2007 Absolutely beautiful. Just what I thought would've happened in the storyline. Plus, your writing style is awesome. I love the way you describe Cortana's actions, like the line: "Cortana’s ethics subroutine pulsed her, urging her to find some way to terminate and erase herself before Gravemind could obtain critical UNSC data. She shut the subroutine off with a virtual shake of her head. She needed to hold on. She needed to keep the Index safe." That's awesome beyond belief. It rings true to the way Cortana was written in the Halo series of novels, but with your own personal style. I'd give this story a 10/10. Well done. Keep up the great work. ;) |
